Is anyone applying to CSUN's ABSN program (2014 cohort)??? I know their application deadline is coming up but the info on their website is out of date and there's no application available on the site. I tried contacting the department via email and phone but no response/answer. Anyone having better luck applying than me?

Hi there! I am also accepted for summer 2014 and am relocating from Orange County too. I've started to research rooming on Craigslist and have a friend who goes there now. She gave me some recommendations as far as cities close by. Granada Hills, Chatsworth, and Mission Hills were a few that she mentioned within close distance. I also drove up and visited the area today. There are tons of apartments near campus, a little pricey but I think that is what you pay for the convenience of living close by. The campus is just gorgeous and the recreation center is amazing!!

Got into Summer 2014!!! So excited! Yes, has anyone started a facebook group?

Also, has anyone heard if you can switch to Fall. I can make Summer work, but Fall would be much better for me in terms of coordinating with work. I plan to stop working before starting school, but there are 4 people out during the summer on maternity leave.

Never Never Give Up- Do you want to start the Facebook group for Summer Cohort 14?? I would but I'm not that tech saavy with Facebook and it seems like people were having trouble finding the Facebook for the Fall cohort. It would be greatly appreciated! :)

You will not be able to find fall 2014 FB group on your androids for some reason...

I did manage to find it on my PC though... wonder why FB is making it so hard on us -_-

I ran the background check today and it mentions all paperwork is due 4/15 (fire card, professional liability, HIPAA certification, and blood borne pathogens). Do you guys know where to get all this done?! (Reposted from Fall FB Group)

*About the Fall Cohort 15 FB* When I look to Add members to the Fall FB it will let me search for them. If you want to email me your name shown on FB and maybe a description of your profile picture I could search. That's the only solution I can think of. I'm up for any suggestions since this is the first group I've made!! :)

Never mind :) The Department of Nursing already responded (super fast!) that they will send us guidance on how they want it completed after April 1st.

CSULA just had their first round of calls for ELMN today so some of the applicants may have been accepted in that program and will drop this one. Keep up the faith! :)

Got in to summer ABSN, haven't confirmed yet. Did anyone go to the campus and view the facilities or speak to staff more specifically? What are your favorite features about the nursing program?
