CSULB Nursing Program Fall 2023

Published

Hi everyone! I wanted to start this thread to compare our stats since the deadline to send in the supplemental application is approaching soon. CSULB's program is definitely competitive and I hope I have a chance to get in with my scores!

My stats:

4.0 GE GPA

4.0 Science GPA

92.7% Composite TEAS score

82.1% Reading TEAS score

Best of luck to everyone applying!! We got this!

I think so! I'm going to be in professional attire for sure.

Did anyone receive a confirmation email after submitting the nursing application (the one that's deadline is Feb 1st) I didn't receive one and I'm worried mine didn't go through because I never got a confirmation exercise invite.

 Thank you.

Does anyone know exactly what the Communications Exercise entails? Any insight would be great.

I finally found a thread about this that isn't from 2010! I'm actually kind of shocked I got asked to do the interview when I look at all the other scores posted here. I have been obsessing about it since I got the email. I read that it's basically their way of telling you you got in without officially telling you you got in. I think it's pretty straight forward and easy and seeing all of your scores something all of you are capable of.

3.76 GE GPA

3.9 Science GPA

89.3% Composite TEAS score

97.4% Reading TEAS score

9.5 impaction score

I was also wondering what other schools you guys applied to. I applied to CSULA, CSUCI, and CSUSM. Considering I got into all of them, I'm having trouble deciding which one I would chose. I currently live in LA but have family in San Marcos. Also I think Channel Islands is my last choice. I just wanna hear what thoughts you guys have on which schools you like.

I was just reading through the thread from the Spring 2023 application cycle, and someone said they had to watch a ted talk, then write a summary of it and answer a question about how it applied to nursing. Then it sounds like they were put in breakout rooms and each person was asked one interview style question, some examples were why you want to be a nurse, what qualities make a good nurse, and how would your classmates describe you.

I think I'll definitely try to prep for an interview question so I don't panic and freeze up the day of, haha, but yeah other than that it seems like there isn't much to worry about. and Simo, your scores look amazing, too!

I applied to CSU Long Beach, Fullerton, and Los Angeles. Didn't do CI because their nursing school dates were due before I was ready to take TEAS. Waiting for CCs to open up to apply to them to cover all my bases. (Ideally would hear back from one of these guys before those apps are due so I can avoid the headache)

Thank you thank you! I'll prep some interview questions for sure. It's so nerve-wracking because it feels like we're so close I don't want to mess something up! I've seen in other threads from previous that some people who did the comms exercise didn't get accepted so I got nervous.

Wait where can I find those threads I wanna read them
