CSULB Nursing Program Fall 2023

Hi everyone! I wanted to start this thread to compare our stats since the deadline to send in the supplemental application is approaching soon. CSULB's program is definitely competitive and I hope I have a chance to get in with my scores!

My stats:

4.0 GE GPA

4.0 Science GPA

92.7% Composite TEAS score

82.1% Reading TEAS score

I did an official request via Parchment which is the company that does electronic transcripts for my school.

We need to send our transcripts from whatever school you are transferring from. I sent mine electronically through parchment.

Hello guys! What is the deadline for accepting admission? Asking because I am waiting for an admission email from another school. I am supposed to hear from them in next week.

Does anyone know what this is? When is the deadline to do this?

Transfer students must take the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement Placement Exam (GPE) no later than their first semester at CSULB. It is strongly encouraged that you take the exam one month prior to attending SOAR orientation, as it can help you with registering for the correct sequence of classes.

It's basically an essay that you have to write to make sure that you're capable of writing at an upper division level. You'll need a score of 11 or higher to be eligible to take GERN 400 in your second semester.  I scheduled mine and took it like 3 weeks into my first semester. It's like $25 and you can do online or in person. It was pretty easy, they give you a prompt to write about and I think you have like 75min to write an essay about it. Nothing to worry about! :)

You do have to have your scores before 2nd semester and it can take up to 6 weeks for them to come back (mine came back in 3 I think), so make sure you take it early on in the semester!

It also says you can use a compatible computer if you decide to take it online. How do I know if my computer is compatible. Is the lock-down browser you use Proctorio or different?
