CSULB FALL 2019

Published

Hey everyone!

I know its a bit early but time flies fast and I pretty nervous so I'm sure other people are too. Is anyone applying to CSULB this upcoming semester for fall 2019? Just wanted to make this so we can talk about goals, nerves, points, and ask questions! Also, if there are any current or past CSULB nursing students...any advice? Hope to hear from u guys!

How did everyone feel about the exercise?

If you don’t mind, what did the exercise consist of?

I think we should leave it confidential just to keep it fair for everyone else. I know my group did well but I would hate to have someone not get in because others had more details.

Super relieved it's over - It was a lot easier than I expected. I'm glad my group was really chill, it helped with my nerves! (-:

Will it really take a month for the results? I literally can’t sleep!

Hi guys, kinda random, but is anyone NOT getting an associates? I’m not, and some person in the transfer center at my CC said something about getting my GEs certified? I didn’t know that was a thing...does anyone know if that’s like required?

I believe they expect you to already have your GE courses done by the time you enter into the program so you can focus solely on nursing but I'm not sure if that's true. Calling CSULB admissions directly should give you the best answer.

You should contact CSULB admissions directly to see if that's really the case. I believe you are supposed to have all your GE finished by the time you start the program but I can't say for sure.

That’s the thing, I followed the GE pattern and completed all necessary courses, I just don’t know if my CC has to do anything to certify or confirm

Then yes! Get GE certified, I believe you do that at your CC's admission office but only when you know exactly where you are going

You do not need to have all of your GE completed before getting into the program. Of course it is recommended, otherwise you will need to add classes on top of the nursing classes (like history or whatever you may be missing). It would be best to complete them during the upcoming summer semester if you know you're missing anything just so you won't have any extra workload.

I am so supprised to see this. You applied other CSUs, I feel many should have good nursing program like Long Beach.

oh yeah I did apply different nursing schools because I knew something is wrong with this school. I am waiting for the response right now. Sorry for late response!
