CSULB FALL 2019

Published

Hey everyone!

I know its a bit early but time flies fast and I pretty nervous so I'm sure other people are too. Is anyone applying to CSULB this upcoming semester for fall 2019? Just wanted to make this so we can talk about goals, nerves, points, and ask questions! Also, if there are any current or past CSULB nursing students...any advice? Hope to hear from u guys!

Hey! I just took the TEAS yesterday and scored a 87.3% overall and 85% in reading! I have a 4.0 so Im hoping it makes me competitive with 9.45 points. English was a lot harder than I expected and it brought my overall grade down by a lot (I got a 79.3, it was my lowest score), but hopefully my grades make up for it!!

Hi! I have similar stats and I’m wondering if you got in?

Hi there! I applied for Fall 2020 and got invited the communications exercise on the 11th.

I wanted to ask if the hospital(s) you are assigned to for clinicals are based on your location and/or preference? I live in Culver City, which is why I ask. I’ve read in this forum that the trimester program does all of their clinicals at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, which is a reasonable distance from me. But, I also read that the semester program does clinicals at several different hospitals. I am curious if I get accepted into the program and I am assigned to the semester program, if the hospitals I would do my clinicals at would be assigned based on my location and/or preference? I read here that students in the semester program did clinicals at various hospitals in Orange County such as: Saddleback in Laguna Hills and Hoag in Newport Beach which is about 50 miles from where I currently live. I know students are chosen for the trimester and semester programs through a lottery, so I just want to be prepared in case I am chosen for the semester program. Any info would be appreciated!

There is a list on the CSULB nursing website of approved schools/courses. I'm taking them online at Santa Barbara CC!

Sorry if this is quite random but which professor did you take it with?
