CSULB Fall 2012 BSN

Published

Hi!

I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!

Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?

Thank you Lavender. I know. I am so lucky.

Thank you for the heads-up on the CPR class.

Did you learn a lot more in CSULB's pharm class than at SBCC, or can you say it was just mainly review and you remembered most of what you learned online? Also, did you have to pay to audit pharm?

I didn't have to register for Pharm to audit the class. Just ask the professor and you can be put on the email and Beachboard list for the class without having to have a grade reported. There was considerably more material in the CSULB class, so it was certainly worth it to audit, because you will be using these drugs directly on patients your first semester, so there's no such thing as too much information on drugs in your head. The exams are horrid, so you will be glad that you don't have to take them.

I was finally able to register for Pharmacology. I'm also on the waitlist for Patho. Does anyone know the deadline to pay the fees?

Edit: Nevermind. It is due 7 days after I am registered. I will pay it later today.

@Dr. Choco are you enrolled in Patho or waitlisted?

Wow! Congrats. I'm sure you'll be added! Look at my next post about fees.

ATTENTION TO EVERYONE THAT HAS SUCCESSFULLY REGISTERED AT SBCC!! (also inpouring to those who will be registering!)

To those of you that have successfully registered in any unmet course at SBCC. Pay your fees ASAP!!!! I don't remember exactly how long they give you 3,4,or 7 days, but don't wait pay it. If you don't the computer system will AUTOMATICALLY DROP YOU FOR NON-PAYMENT and another desperate student will snatch up your spot and you'll basically NEVER GET IT BACK!!!!!!

To those of you that are eligible for the BOGG FEE WAIVER that covers the registration fees find the form on their website, print and fill it out completely and fax it back to them. They process them almost immediately. You can log back into your account and see that it shows $0 for fees or just give them a call the next day. Also if you've been eligible and have received this fee waiver at a local community college in the area SBCC still REQUIRES YOU TO FILL OUT A NEW ONE. IT WILL NOT TRANSFER OVER.

Whatever you do just be sure to take care of the fees. Trust me. I've been through it and had it happier to me. They are far more strict on fees than the local schools.

Hint: SBCC requires no "proof" of income for the fee waiver form.

@LavenderButterfly Thanks for the advice. I am going to pay mine right now since you are sorta scaring me about losing my spot but I guess its a good thing haha! :) When do you think those on the waitlist will find out if they are accepted or not? They will probably add another fee in my account if I'm in, and I was curious how long I'd have to wait to find out.

Congrats on getting a spot, spiffy!

Thanks! I couldn't reply to your PM cause your inbox is full now

THEY STILL HAVEN'T CLEARED ME! How did we do this on the same day and you are already able to enroll? Did u email/fax the prerequisite people your transcripts and form A or did you send it directly to HIT?

I did both. On Tuesday I emailed the prerequisite people. They never did it. I emailed the HIT dept. this morning and by 2-3 pm I was able to register. I'll PM you the email you should send it to

Caligirl: I did the exact same thing as spiffy, so maybe emailing directly to HIT is what got us cleared?! I don't know, good luck!!!
