Hi!
I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!
Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?
She didn't tell me the room. She just told me the new building and not the old one and that there will be people around to help. Also to park in lot 1, I think.
I heard in past that they would let you know your ranking after the interview, you think they still do? I wouldn't ask, but I am curious! As for getting interview. I cannot believe we beat out like 700+ applicants and got interviews!!!! That has a lot to speak for itself! We just got to go in there and whoop that interviews bum! (not really lol) and I think we are good!
Alternates are not chosen until AFTER the interviews and often alternates do end up getting offers of admission, so don't count yourself out if you are deemed an alternate. Let me know if you have any more questions!
Does this mean that would-be alternates have also received interviews, and that if you didn't receive an invite, you're definitely not an alternate and most likely are being denied admission?
Also, do you have any clue as to the number of applications they received? or how many interview invites went out? Or the cutoff score?

If you have not received an interview invite by now, then it is unlikely that you will be offered admission. They always send out more invites that slots, so they choose the alternates from those not selected after the interviews. If you have any specific questions about your application, call the nursing office and they should be able to tell you the status of your application.
I don't know the final count of applications received or how many invites were sent out, but I think they said 120.
@BeachsideNic Thanks for all the info. This is pretty much what i was expecting after reading everyone's posts last night. I emailed them last night and am waiting for a reply.
@nursedevs What will your score be for next semester? Mine will be a 9.6, and i'm hoping that will be good enough! However, if some of those 9.2's are alternates then i'm a little worried because a lot of them have a course in progress, meaning that they too will have higher scores next semester. Are you a transfer by any chance?
To be honest, i wasn't expecting to make it in this semester. I took my TEAS a couple weeks before i turned in my app and was considering not even applying this semester until i saw that my score was above a 9 and decided to go for it. So i'm not too broken up about it. I mean i am, but i'm not wollowing in sadness over here, lol. This will give me more time to get nutrition, pharm, and patho out of the way and all the stuff they make you do before you start.
Anyway, i hope you guys who got invites do well in your interviews and get it. Maybe i'll meet some of you down the road.
i just got a reply from ----- and she pretty much told me the same thing she told nursedevs:
"the lowest rating being invited to the interviews was 9.11. you have a 9.09. you will need to reapply after you finish your physiology course."
so apparently i miscalculated my score? or maybe they did, because somebody else here calculated my score and got the same as me.
