I am extremely surprised there isn't a thread that exists for students applying to CSU LB for Fall 2015!!
Here are my stats, but enlighten me on one part, what does the general gpa consist of? I actually went to CSULB and met Monalisa, but she said the nursing program only looks at eight classes... Maybe I should call to reassure how they calculate the cummulative GPA, but my other scores are set.
Science GPA: 4.0: 4
TEAS Math: 100 : 2
TEAS Overall: (90.7x2)100:1.814
GE GPA: TBA
So far so good, but being that a 3.0 is the cut off gpa for general and science for the program I am giving myself a 3.0/2= 1.5 as a score and my points would be a 9.314 as a default. Hopefully it will be higher.
I called today and she accepted alternates 1-21. I'm now alternate #5 hopefully a few more spots open up! Congratulations to all the alternates that got accepted! :)
Hahaa yess.. my body isn't ready for the actual program. I'm pretty scared to be honest.
Not every alternate was been accepted yet. As the person above me stated, they are on alternate 21. The alternates can be accepted as late as the second week of the fall semester. Alternates are placed on a list and we are ranked based on our scores. We are then accepted as spots become available starting with the individuals that had the best scores and then going down. I am not a transfer student. Very few transfer applicants get to be on the alternate list.
Does anyone know when the alternates, who recently got an email from SON, need to accept or decline by? I'm still on the alternate list and just looking for a date that I may get that lucky email! :) Thank you ahead of time!
I'm applying for Spring 2016 at CSULB with these stats:
GPA: 4.0
GPA SCIENCE: 4.0
MATH TEAS: 90%
TEAS OVERAL: 82.7
Can anyone who goes prior to me give any advice for me please?
I got accepted for this coming fall so I'm not in just yet but your scores seem fine to me..... Spring is historically a bit easier to get into comparing to fall so you should be good to go. You have just shy of 9.5 points total. Be happy.
If your looking for something to improve just because your still nervous, you can redo your TEAS if you want (I wouldn't). I don't know CSULB's policy on retaking the exam though. Good luck!

CSULB's School of Nursing takes your highest TEAS score. You can take it as many times as you want. If you want to raise your score, that would be the thing to do. You do have a very high score, though!

I'm not sure what magnus health portal is? The letter that I got says to just register on certifiedbackground.com and upload out documents there. I don't see anything about magnus health portal. Could you point me to where you see that? Maybe I can help.
I went to the CSULB website for the Fall 2015 applicants and it says to just have the certifiedbackground.com registration done and to buy the background check and medical document manager.
