  1. Hey, I accepted their offer and am interested on talking. Im surprised there hasn't been a FB group made or anything?
  2. Hi everyone... I had to end up declining my offer of admission. I was accepted to a school closer to home. Hopefully that clears up a spot for someone else. Good luck to everyone.
  3. I also got a call yesterday about getting accepted. I was at work though and I was so excited about just hearing that I got in, that I kind of blanked out about what I was told in regards to getting my acceptance email. In any case, I'm stoked and so ready for this next step. I hope I get the email soon so I can fully feel like it's real haha.
  4. Hi guys, I was just accepted to the University of Miami for the class of 2027 and I was hoping that anyone could thats currently in the program could shed some light on their experience thus far?

  6. Thank you : ) Yeah of course. I think it helps present and future applicants to know what they're getting into. I like helping my fellow nurse brethren where I can. I'm leaning towards accepting the offer. They gave me a month to decide. I'll wait until the last second to register though. Only because I'd be moving very far from home if I take the acceptance.
  7. I interviewed Feb 29th. Stats: 3.9 GPA, 3 years of ICU experience in a big academic hospital (MICU/SICU/CCU), CCRN, part of a couple committees at work, and I headed a QI project at work. I also have been doing a lot of volunteer work for a long time. Free clinics and such.
  8. Thanks. I really didn't expect to get in due to the way the interview went. They were a bit critical of me understandably, but I guess I did well enough. And yes, they sent me an email with the acceptance and "to do" list. I've been checking this thread regularly and was getting concerned as to why no one else has said they were accepted. I figured it would be good to give people an idea of when acceptances were starting to roll out.
  9. Hi Guys, I wanted to let you know that I got an acceptance to the program On Tuesday March 12th. I just wanted to say something because I've been lurking on the thread and haven't seen anyone mention anything about acceptances.
  10. I mean... I don't really know? The one thing I can say is that I was myself during the interview. I tried my best to just answer the best I could. I didn't study or do anything prior to the interview. That approach doesn't work best for everyone but it worked for me based on what I was told. I'm super excited and super nervous for this transition but I hope it's going to be worth it. Thanks for all the insight in the thread everyone.
  11. Hey guys. I've been lurking on the thread for a while but just wanted to give an update for myself.... I got an offer in the med/surge ICU on Tuesday. Had to take a couple days to think it over since it's a huge move for me but accepted today. Good luck to everyone else waiting.
  12. Hi everyone, I applied to the medical and surgical ICU's. My application says "application is under recruiter review". No call or email yet though.
  13. CONGRATS on those who got interviewed and/or hired. It's a very weird time in the world right now so us new grads are at a disadvantage unfortunately. I'm yet to hear anything from USC myself but based on the discussion so far, seems like I'll be getting a rejection email at some point.
  14. Congratulations and good luck. Looks like the tele floors and neuro ICU were the only places available I guess? I have not heard of any of the other units calling people for interviews. In any case, best of luck ?
