Hey everyone so I have been waiting for a couple of years to finally have all of the pre-reqs done to be able to apply to nursing school. I am finally finished and am just waiting for CSULB-elmsn's program which will start in Fall 2011. I want to know who else is planning on applying so we can have each other to go through the process with and I'm not going to lie I would really like to see what the competition is like. Goodluck to everyone. I look forward to meeting you in the fall!
Does anyone know if there is any way to check on the status of our applications, either for the university or the nursing dept. itself? I don't think I ever received any info on checking on the status on the university app. Thanks!
For the university app, they sent me an email and a notice in the mail. I got a student or applicant ID number in those. As for the nursing dept., they specifically asked that we not repeatedly check on application status until after May 15, when all notifications are expected to be out already. I can say they are very good about contacting you if your nursing app is missing something. I got an email recently reminding me to send updated transcripts so they can factor in my physiology grade, which was not on the transcript I sent along with my university app because I was still taking physiology in November.
Anyhow, it sounds like you should contact the university if you have not received any notice from the university at all letting you know they received and processed your university app. HTH.
Thanks for your response, SugarNSass. I did receive the notification from the university itself telling me that they received my application. I also did receive that e-mail from the nursing dept. informing me that they received funding for the Fall 2011. I've received nothing after that though, and was wondering if anyone else received anything new.
Also, any suggestions on whether I should send in TEAS scores from my TEAS 4 that I took in 2009 or my TEAS V that I took in January this year? I received a score a couple of percentages higher on my TEAS 4 than my TEAS V, and I was wondering if that would make a difference. Or would more recent scores be better?
Thank you, everyone!
