CSULB-ELMSN Fall 2011

Hey everyone so I have been waiting for a couple of years to finally have all of the pre-reqs done to be able to apply to nursing school. I am finally finished and am just waiting for CSULB-elmsn's program which will start in Fall 2011. I want to know who else is planning on applying so we can have each other to go through the process with and I'm not going to lie I would really like to see what the competition is like. you guys are crazy with all of those applications i am sure you have to get into at least a couple of them. i am only applying to csulb so i am keeping my fingers crossed. ironically cusf does not take the chem class i took and csulb does... and since ucla and ms. st mary is really far way from me my only choice is csulb i applied to saddleback for fall 2010 but didn't get accepted. good luck to both you of you. i know fall 2011 is so far away but i am already a nervous reck! :)

malefocker - i'm applying to saddleback for fall 2011 as another back up option. do you know why you weren't accepted?

Well the application process is different now... last year when I applied the only thing they counted were 3 classes... anatomy, physiology, and microbiology... plus your overall GPA on your most recent transcript. The only people who got accepted were people with 4.0's. (and there were about 30 students with 4.0's that randomly didn't get selected... CRAZY) Now their application process is completely different and takes into account a lot of different things. Anyway good luck... I know they have a really high NCLEX pass rate and I have heard nothing but good things from the students who I have spoken to that have gone there.

Ohhhh I see... Now they give you all these points for things like having a BA/BS, volunteer work, completing other courses that are not pre-reqs, etc... So hopefully this new system will work in my favor!

I still have not received an email back from LB about the info session...so if anyone else hears anything let me know : )

I was just emailed the flyer : ) I am so glad that it is early afternoon. That means I don't have to get a hotel or anything. phew! I am certainly planning to be there.

Heck yeah me too!!!! 12 more days... Ha not that it really matters I guess mid may is when the fun really starts!

And just to let everyone know Long Beach posted the dates for the next TEAS exam.... I know a few of you were waiting for the dates to be posted!

Yes, I saw those dates too! Thanks for letting us know. I really don't want to go through that whole testing process again, but I know if I don't do it and end up being rejected I will be so mad at myself!

I finally found this thread! Just in time since it will be March very soon, right? I am going crazy waiting, and I used to think I was a very patient person. I am so anxious and excited and just all around ready to get things going. I'm glad there are so many other people feeling the same way.
