Hello everyone, I was unable to find a thread with potential CSULB Spring transfers so I decided to start one. Hopefully, everyone is just as excited as I am :) I haven't taken the TEAS yet and I am currently wrapping up Micro. I plan on taking TEAS The end of may or early June and if I am unsatisfied with my results I will retake them in July. I would love to hear from other applicants! Good luck!!
For GE GPA do you calculate it using the GPA accumulated from all the classes you've taken or just from the classes the program requires excluding the sciences?
Science GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA: 3.72
(only the GE required for the program: 4.0)
TEAS Overall: 86.7
TEAS Reading: 89.4
Total score = 9.37
Can you guys post when you receive an interview date? I'm so nervous. I've been checking my email and allnurses constantly to see if anyone got an interview date even though someone said they should start sending them next week. I just want to fast forward in time and know if I'm in or not already.

For the GE GPA, it is only the classes required by the program, so your point score is higher than you think! It would be:
Science GPA: 4
GE GPA: 2
TEAS Overall: 1.734
TEAS Reading: 1.788
Total Score: 9.522
I think there was only 1 semester where that wasn't a qualifying score, so you should be fine!
Yes, everyone should definitely post when e-mails go out for the communication exercise, when I applied for Fall we only had a week's notice, so I'm assuming it will be the same this time :)
Hi everyone, I have a question about waiting for LB and other CSUs. Do you intent to enroll in all of them and pay the deposit or just pick one and wait on the others? I know Chico State has a fee waived for nursing students so they can just accept admissions while they wait. I'm just not sure how any of this works.

I'm wondering this too
@chubbybunnyThank you so much Cathy for reaching out to us!
I want to confirm something, on the pool stats page, the years with 11's rating has the 2 exercise communication points included, right? I found it a bit confusing that some years were 11's while others were 9's
Have you taken a nursing capstone course yet? How did you figure out which unit/ specialty you want to go in?
Yes the years with 11s is including the exercise. What do you mean by a capstone course? Also, I have always known I wanted to be an ICU nurse. I'm in my ICU rotation now which only solidified that interest. As you rotate through the different clinical settings you will likely find what unit you want to enter when you graduate. Many students go into the program keeping an open mind and just letting the clinical rotations speak for themselves, which is absolutely great because it ensures that you don't have any biases toward the different classes. Other students either know exactly what they want to do after graduation, some don't know even after graduation and work in the float pool to find their passion, and then there are students who drop because they realize they don't want to be a nurse. The important thing is that you make the most out of each rotation. Hope this helps !

@thelittleone
But (edit) told me that they do include plus and minus to calculate ratings if your grades have them?
