CSULA Fall 2021

Hi all! 
I just wanted to create this forum for students who are applying to CSULA Fall 2021 for the BSN Nursing track in case we had questions for each other, wanted to share thoughts, stats and to support each other through this journey. 

I was wondering if anyone has applied and knew if CSULA requires verification for volunteer hours in their NursingCAS application portion? Also, will they accept any amount of volunteer hours under 50? I know you can add a document. Thank you!

Any idea what your gonna include in your appeal? Cuz they are very vague on what exactly

I read the page online and you’re supposed to submit a letter explaining why you think you meet criteria to be admitted. I think they want you to attach transcripts possibly as well to support yourself. I would just be very thorough with your letter and make sure it’s well written!

Yeah. Any extra sauce maybe can be added? Like how hard we work or anything around that nature?

Awesome! What is your opinion of the cohort? What is the student to professor ratio like? Have you been able to get your clinical placements?

I think our cohort is cool, but I can't really say bc we don't really know each other. All classes have been virtual since last year, so there's little to no interaction. For nursing classes 1: 68. You will move as a group in all your nursing classes except clinicals. As far as clinical placement, yes. I got my first pick during the first semester, however, there was no picking really during the second semester bc our site was cancelled due to COVID.

Hi guys! Im a transfer student and I also got an admissions email saying that I got accepted into CSU LA but not specifically nursing. I was crying and telling everyone but I just realized is it too early to celebrate?? im gonna be so embarrassed if I didn't get into nursing....
