CSULA BSN Program Fall 2018

Hey! I wanted to start a forum for CSULA fall 2018. I have been looking everywhere for one! Anyways, just wanted to talk to others about their apps and such. This is kind of a nerve wracking experience, and I wanted to compare points/progress on the application. I tallied my points and I have 25. I hope it gets me in. Fingers crossed. I have also applied to a bunch of other schools, but CSULA is the dream :)

What do you mean? I inputted all the necessary information into NursingCAS as stated. Sent transcripts. Took TEAS at CSULA. volunteered etc. I just had "low benchmark" (this was stated in the email) from what csula son was looking for in applicants & pts. Therefore, i assume the applicant pool was very competitive.

Seems like you would have gotten in.

I got the email back in March saying I was accepted to the nursing program/school (I'm a transfer), and I only have 23 points. My prerequisite GPA and cumulative GPA both 4.0, reading TEAS 89%, english TEAS 88%, and no volunteer/work experience. Seems strange that people with more points than me are saying they got denial letters, and I haven't heard anything since the March email.

I just wanna share that i already got the acceptance letter from SON today. I recieved a letter of admissions back in march and i have 26 points.

I also just now received admission to the SON! I also had 26 points.

P.S. still undecided where I want to go for nursing school, but will update people on this thread on the waitlist if I decide not to go here! It's not my top #1 school, so hopefully this opens up a spot for someone else!
