CSULA BSN Program Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey! I wanted to start a forum for CSULA fall 2018. I have been looking everywhere for one! Anyways, just wanted to talk to others about their apps and such. This is kind of a nerve wracking experience, and I wanted to compare points/progress on the application. I tallied my points and I have 25. I hope it gets me in. Fingers crossed. I have also applied to a bunch of other schools, but CSULA is the dream :)

Okay guys I can confirm if you got the email from before that we are accepted into the SON. I was turning in my transcripts and decided to stop by and double check. I am literally in their office on the 4th floor of Simpson tower. They said that the email we get in April is for reaffirmation. They congratulated me and sent me on my merry way. So, to everyone who got the email, congratulations!!

Yes, the letter sent on the 17th of March. See above comment.

Hey! I got an acceptance letter back in March from the school (congrats to you all btw). I sent my transcripts and paid my deposit, and after that my account went from admitted to complete. Anyone else have that happen? Or current CSULA students, does it say complete or admitted for you?

Mine says complete also.

I got an acceptance letter but my status still said incomplete because when i called they said my transcripts was sent through mail and they have a lot of transcripts coming from my school so it will take awhile for mine to get updated.

FOR THOSE APPLICANTS WHO DID NOT TAKE THE TEAS FROM CSULA, did you guys share your teas to calstate? i remember uploading but i didnt share it because it wasn't really specified on the instructions.

I am curious as well. I took my teas elsewhere and it never told me to share results/upload to csuapply. Only uploaded to nursingcas which was the only place they explicitly asked for them.

I only uploaded my TEAS results to NursingCas. My application status says 'Admitted' and I still have transcripts on my To Do List even though I've sent them almost immediately after receiving acceptance letter. Anyway, I brought them another copy of my transcripts today in person because I had no idea if my transcripts came there or were lost in mail and it was driving me crazy.

I took my TEAS at Cal State, so they were automatically sent. But, if I had taken them anywhere else, I would have sent them to Cal state when I sent my transcripts.

Hey everyone,

Unfortunately I just received a rejection email from SON this afternoon.

My stats were:

Prereq GPA: 3.9 = 10 pts

Cumulative GPA: 3.9 = 5 pts

TEAS Reading: 87% = 4 pts

TEAS English: 79% = 3 pts

Volunteer experience: >100 hrs = 2 pts

24 points

It was a very competitive pool based off of the email. Most likely the cut off point being 25-26+ points for accepted applicants. Good luck to all and hope for the best news this week!

Did you confirm your GPAs on NursingCAS?

Did you confirm your GPAs on NursingCAS?

What do you mean? I inputted all the necessary information into NursingCAS as stated. Sent transcripts. Took TEAS at CSULA. volunteered etc. I just had "low benchmark" (this was stated in the email) from what csula son was looking for in applicants & pts. Therefore, i assume the applicant pool was very competitive.
