CSULA BSN Program Fall 2018

Hey! I wanted to start a forum for CSULA fall 2018. I have been looking everywhere for one! Anyways, just wanted to talk to others about their apps and such. This is kind of a nerve wracking experience, and I wanted to compare points/progress on the application. I tallied my points and I have 25. I hope it gets me in. Fingers crossed. I have also applied to a bunch of other schools, but CSULA is the dream :)

If you used you're personal email for NursingCas and/or applying to CSULA, then yes. At least that is what happened to me and the rest of cohort 2020.

Hi all,

Im kind off freaking out. I checked my calstate portal and it says on my admissions that it's incomplete. Im just wondering if it's just me having an incomplete application or everyone else has the same thing?

My status on GET portal says incomplete as well. I also haven't gotten an email confirming or denying my acceptance. Don't really know what is going on.

Okay, I just called csula admissions and they said that the incomplete status is normal at this point. She also said acceptance letters for csula should go out at the end of March and acceptance letters for nursing goes out in April. So hopefully this info relieves some stress for you folks.

Hey guys! I'm also waiting for an application decision from csula but I'm getting pretty worried... Where are you accessing information about your application status? I can't seem to find it. Is it from the GET portal or from the CSULA website?

guys,

just an update, my application turned from incomplete to admitted today, i guess thats a progress atleast.... but ..still no acceptance letter tho from either the university or nursing dept.

Hi all,

I received an email from CSULA saying that they were not able to admit me with my preferred major but to my alternate major, natural science. I had 27 points total and I've made no mistake in my calculation since friends have double checked for me. I guess CSULA really is extremely competitive. :( Good luck to everyone else!

No way! You should definitely call in and see if they calculated your points incorrectly. Since according to last year's post people who got around 24 points were accepted into the program. Unless this year's pool of applicants were really top notch.
