It may be a bit early, but I wanted to create this forum for all of us students who want to be accepted into CSULA's SON for Fall 2019. We can discuss the TEAS, pre-reqs, deadlines, points, CSU transfer procedures, etc. Let's do this!
Hello everyone! I am interested in applying to the basic BSN program at CSULA but have no idea how the point system is set up. Could someone possible help me figure out my score or possibly send me a link to the page that breaks down the points. What classes are counted in the prereq GPA? Thanks a bunch!
I think I may have found an article explaining he point system but it may be outdated. Can anyone let me know if the Cumulative GPA is from my most recent tranferring institution or a combination of all intitutions attended? Thanks!
Pre-Req GPA: 3.52- that darn B in chem and english really messed up my GPA -__- (6pts)
Overall GPA - 3.74 (4pts)
TEAS: Reading: 80.9% (4pts)
TEAS: English: 95.8% (5pts)
Volunteer hours: 100 (2pts)
I was just recently certified with the NHA as a CPT but have not started working yet so as of now my total points are 21 :0 yikes, super low. Hopefully I can start working soon. Also, does anyone know if we receive an additional 3 points for working (combined work and volunteer)?

I think the max is 3 points and that's if you do over 100 hours of volunteer and work in the medical field already!
Hey everyone! I am also applying to CSULA for Fall 2019. I am not sure how the point system works, but these are my stats so can someone help me out?
Overall GPA - 4.0
Prerequisite GPA - 4.0
105 volunteer hours
TEAS overall - 87.3 (97th national percentile)
TEAS reading - 85.1% (85th national percentile)
TEAS English - 79.2% (86th national percentile)
thanks!

Hi Veesoriano!
I took my TEAS at CSULA and just looked into how I would send them my scores via ATI! Apparently, if you take it at CSULA, sending your scores to them is free of charge. I'm not sure if it automatically sends them the results after you take the TEAS without requesting it. That's something to look into. I know that in order to get a spot at CSULA's testing site, I had to register way back in May! I literally checked every month for new testing dates to pop up!
Right now I believe they only have up to October!
EDIT: Also, I'm really scared about sending in all the right documents to the right place at the right time. It's even scarier to know that that's how they weed out a majority of applicants. Hopefully we can all help each other out when the application opens!
