  1. Woke up to the acceptance email!! Super excited but still holding out hope for CSULB. Congrats to everyone else! Did you guys apply to other programs as well?
  2. Yay! Says "admitted" for me on the CSULA portal! A step in the right direction ?
  3. From what I know, we don't have to send our transcripts to the CSULA admissions office until they request them from you. I called the SON last month and this is what they told me! So don't worry guys (which I know is easier said than done haha)
  4. No it didn't say anything about the points cutoff :( 9.42 is really good though! Make sure you check your spam. And if anything I would maybe give them a call and just make sure your application was received and wasn't missing anything.
  5. Hi! I will also be applying for CSULB. My points aren't too great though because I got a B in a 5 unit elementary chemistry course I took 3 years ago (prior to pursuing nursing; therefore I wasn't in the "must get all A's" mindset), and that's the grade they will be using. Even though I've taken advanced chem classes since then and gotten A's Science GPA: 3.71 points GE GPA: 2 points TEAS overall: 92% = 1.84 points TEAS reading: 83% = 1.66 points Total points: 9.21 points I am hoping to find an available date to retake the TEAS so I can get a higher reading score and boost my points. I don't know why I did so poorly on the reading, because I got 100% on reading on the ATI practice test. I just got some tricky passages and questions. If only I had my 4.0 in science, then I would have 9.5 points and have a great shot at getting in
  6. Hi all! I will be applying for the fall as well. I can't seem to find the point breakdown like you guys have already mentioned. I wonder why they would take that down from their website. Is anyone planning on attending the nursing info session this coming Friday, the 7th?
  7. Hi everyone! I am a pre-nursing student applying for some CSU nursing schools for Fall of 2019! CSULB is my #1 choice, but I had a question about the chemistry requirement. I attend Cypress College currently, and the counselor there told me that I had to take Chem 101 AND 201 for CSULB. The science course equivalency list on the CSULB nursing website confirms this, but there is also an option to complete a 4-5 unit general chemistry course (111A or 111B). Because I have changed my major a few times before deciding on nursing, I have completed all 3: Chem 101, 111A, and 201 (in that order). But on the actual nursing application, there is only one line for the chemistry course. So my question is, which grade/class do I put on the application and use to calculate my points? This is important to me because I have all A's in my GE and science requirements, but I have a B in Chem 101 because I took it very early on in my college career and slacked off a bit because I wasn't in the "must get A's" mindset I am now as a pre-nursing student. I would really hate for that one careless B to severely impact my chances and significantly lower my points. I emailed the CSULB SON as well and I plan on giving them a phone call or trying to get there in person to get some clarification. I just wanted to post something on here to maybe get me answers sooner. Thanks in advance for any help!
