CSULA BSN FALL 2019

Published

It may be a bit early, but I wanted to create this forum for all of us students who want to be accepted into CSULA's SON for Fall 2019. We can discuss the TEAS, pre-reqs, deadlines, points, CSU transfer procedures, etc. Let's do this!

yup! it's on orientation day. make sure you have enough money (like a couple hundred) because you'll be paying for supplies and stuff during the orientation. also be prepared to bring your car and a big bag to campus because you'll be carrying a lot of stuff

Oh ok thank you for the information! Do you also happen to know how long the two-day orientation will take? Is it the whole day?

Hey,

I sort of had the same issue when I originally made the reservation for orientation there wasn't an option to pay and there still isn't an option. I contacted their support people and they said they will inform their supervisor of the on-going issue because something is wrong with their system and someone will be in contact with me later on to ensure that I do pay the $70 haha.

same here !! I called them and left them my email and ID and they said that if the issue still isn't fixed by may 31 (which is the deadline to pay for it) then they wouldn't mark me as not going to orientation since I let them know so early on lol

what is up with their system tho like how come some are able to pay and some aren't ???? ?

Who did you guys call about not receiving an orientation email? I still haven't gotten mine :(

I called the orientation office. Here's the number: (323)343-3195

And here's a link to their office hours/email:

?Hi guys!?

I have 3 questions (please help)

1) I have submitted all my transcripts and just wondering if we need to resubmit the TEAS score? Since the guide states, “submit official transcripts, test scores...”

2) Is it normal for your admission status to change from admitted to complete? I called and the lady told me this but just want to be 200% sure.

3) Do you guys know when they’ll give us a admission clearance since most of us received a conditional admission?

Also, just called the orientation office (323) 343-3195 and asked about the orientation e-mail. You’ll get the e-mail a week after you pay your ECD.

See youuu

1. I know for myself I had AP scores which got me out of taking a few college courses. I sent those AP scores around the time I applied for the nursing program. I don't think you need to send TEAS to CSULA because it was just for the nursing program. But definitely send any AP/CLEP/IB test scores....I called around last week to make sure they got those AP scores in the system and she told me yes, and that it was good that I had sent those.

2. Congrats! I think as long as you finished everything on your to-do list you're fine. You definitely want it to say "complete". That's the final step.

3. I think after we send our final transcripts around June? We just sent the one that has up to LAST Fall semester grades. Now they're waiting for us to complete our Spring semester so we can send them our grades for that. That's the last step...

Just adding onto #2, even though I completed all of the steps on my to-do list, paid ECD and the orientation fee, my status is still "incomplete." I called admissions about that and they said it's completely normal, because as a transfer student we're offered conditional admission. Therefore, they can't completely clear it until they receive our final transcripts (with Spring 2019 grades). I was worried about mine saying "incomplete" but they said it'll keep changing throughout the admission process. Thought I would add this in case anyone else's status is the same.

Just popping in here to say that I'll be declining my admission offer because I've chosen to go with CSULB, so hopefully that opens up a spot for someone else! Good luck to everyone!!

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone else's portal changed to UGRD major after their to-do list was cleared? I noticed it just today, and I'm worried that it means I somehow lost my spot in the program. I haven't accepted my offer yet, nor have I paid any orientation fees, but they wouldn't just rescind my spot, right?

Hey everyone,

I received an email to my student outlook email account today saying that I can now pay the $70.00 for the orientation reservation since I was having issues previously. It said to pay within the next 48 hours btw so I just went ahead and paid lol. I recommend maybe checking your student emails too if you had payment issues. ?
