CSULA BSN FALL 2019

It may be a bit early, but I wanted to create this forum for all of us students who want to be accepted into CSULA's SON for Fall 2019. We can discuss the TEAS, pre-reqs, deadlines, points, CSU transfer procedures, etc. Let's do this!

My to do list finally cleared yesterday. I sent transcripts the day acceptance emails went out. However, my status still says "incomplete." I called CSULA about that. They said throughout the admission process it will keep changing from complete, to incomplete, to admitted, sometimes back to incomplete. However, it's nothing to worry about. Just thought I'd put that out there in case anyone else's portal says the same thing!

I called CSULA’s office for the orientation and told them the same thing...The girl on the phone told me to give her my phone number and they’d “fix” it for me by the end of the week. She said they were gonna call me when it’s resolved?

So I’m honestly not sure what’s going on but I called in today as soon as I got that email!

Hey the email says "Available dates are based on your major/college." So I believe we're unable to sign up because we're in the nursing program and will have our orientation with the nursing department on a specific two days. It wouldn't make sense for us to attend a regular orientation because I'm sure normal counselors won't be able to help us with scheduling our nursing classes. Earlier on this thread a CSULA student said they got an email that our orientation will be July 16 & 17. So I'm sure the nursing department will email us all eventually with the next steps.

However, now that I think about it, maybe we'll have to attend 2 orientations. One for the school and for the SON. ?

They fixed it and gave me a call! Should be up and working now! Apparently it's a two day orientation? We gotta go to both July 16th and July 17th? I'll give Ms. Yvette a call once she gets back from her vacation!

also another quick question

do any of you guys know if csula's nursing program is semester-based? bc I know schools like csulb also have a trimester program as well! all I saw on the nursing website for a sample nursing schedule was in semesters??

Not sure about the first part..But I also didn’t pay anything ? Which was surprising since they told me to make sure to pay the $70. Please update if you find out anything!

hey I just got a phone call from them saying that when they were fixing the dates for the program they somehow altered with the "pay now" button and so we didn't pay anything lol

but they said they're gonna fix the website again by next week considering today's Friday and they said to pay the $70 once they fix it lol

so many problems with this orientation thing lol first the dates and now the payment ?

Has anyone not received an orientation email? I paid the enrollment deposit and sent transcripts, so my to do list is clear. However, I haven't received any email about orientation.

Call ‭[phone]‬ & let them know your situation. This is the office for the orientation! They’re really nice and helpful.

Thank you! I actually just called them right now. They checked and said that it's a problem on their end. Apparently I show up on the paid ECD list but not on the orientation list. They said they should fix it either today or next week. I'll be waiting for a call from them once they fix it.
