Hi Everyone!
This is a forum for CSULA's Accelerated BSN program starting June (Summer) 2021.
Applications just opened & are due in January. I was surprised that there wasn't a forum already created so thought I’d create one so we can keep each other updated ?

Thank you! Really appreciate the info. Hope you’re doing well and you had a great experience in the program.

Judging from the past two years of those who were accepted, it looks like she contacted applicants by PHONE (via a private number). Just wanted to give everyone who interviewed a heads up, keep your cells close to you at all times and pick up calls from numbers you don't recognize. Could be the best phonecall of your life. So excited!
Hey everyone! I actually asked her in the interview if we would be contacted by phone like past applicants and she said she most likely won’t be contacting by phone this year and most likely it will be through email!

Do any of you remember which day the orientation would be if we are accepted? I want to put in my calendar to be optimistic LOL.

I did, but not intentionally LOL. I got a new job and I have to get everything done that CSULA requires anyway (upside.. I don't have to pay for it!)
I would start as soon as you have a decision! I had my titers done a few years ago, my Hep B and Rubella was low, and the Hep B booster sequence takes months. IDK what it looks like now, I'm gonna ask for a copy this week.

Oh! Good to know it can take a while.

When I triple checked to make sure my transcripts had arrived, I was told that the application on GET will say "incomplete" until a department decision is made. Once it's made and we're informed, the GET page will change to say "admitted" or "complete" (ie. not admitted)

I barely got an appointment with my PCP, but im most worried I won't be able to get the titers done in time, since hospital rotations start in July apparently!!

You'll be fine, it's a quick blood draw. And if anything is low you just get a booster injection. I think even pharmacies will do them if you can't get a fast appt with a MD?
The 2-step TB takes 9 days minimum. I had first one last Monday, read Wednesday. Second one this Monday, read tomorrow.
