CSULA 2015 ABSN Program

Published

Hi all,

I saw the thread for the BSN Basic program, and wanted to start this one. I'm taking the TEAS on 12/20 for the first time (eek!) because I had to take the GREs for my other apps. I saw that the BSN Basic program has a point system. Does the ABSN program have that too? And do we need to sent in verification of volunteer hours too?

Also, do you have to send an official TEAS transcript, or can you download and print the results report that you can see on the website?

ShirleyRex, you can just print out the results. I asked.

Vita108, thank you!

Hi guys. I am so glad that I found this forum!

It will be a great space for us to share our worries and ask questions.

Have you guys been practicing for the interview?

Any recommendations on effective practice strategies?

So I submitted my application awhile ago and my recommenders sent their letters separately. I have not heard anything back from CSULA about them receiving any of it. Did any of you receive confirmations upon receipt of your app?

Hey Christina,

I just got an email today from CSULA and they were asking if my transcripts have been sent separately and if I had my letters of recommendations in. (YAY RELIEF, I thought my application was lost. )

I had sent the transcripts in and the letters were sent in through my school's mailing service in december so I was quite upset. Could they not find them??

I'm sure the office is just swamped with organizing all the material to figure out who missed what.

I'd say give them 3/4 days. If they haven't emailed you then, you can call the office and ask.

I decided to contact the school today. I can't seem to get a hold of anyone in the nursing department =\ I'll have to keep trying. Does anyone know when we'll be notified about applying to the school? I don't want the deadline to end up passing us by.

I can comment on the application to the university - you don't apply unless you are accepted to the program. They open up a special session for just the people who are committed to joining the cohort. It was in April or May I believe. Do not stress on that part.

hello! have you all received an email regarding the receipt of your applications? i tried calling/emailing them last week but still no response :( i mailed my app via certified mail, but the online tracking info hasn't updated to say DELIVERED.. which is incredibly worrisome.

@jhc12 I e-mailed them regarding the same thing and received a response telling me that they are sending out one e-mail that will notify us of receipt of the application as well as missing documents rather than two separate e-mails. For this reason we haven't received anything yet. She also told me that interviews will be held in February and in March.

Ah got it. Just gotta hang tight and wait, I suppose. Thanks for the fast response!! :)

Does anyone know the stats of the last cohort? I really have no idea if I'm even considered a good candidate.
