Discussion related to the Summer 2014 start of Cal State LA's ABSN/ELMN program.

I live in the San Fernando Valley about 40 minutes away if there is no traffic.

I graduated from UCSB in 2012 with a degree in Bio-psychology. I have been working at the LA Children's Hospital since graduation as a nurse assistant in the OR.

I am from SD, but lived in LA for 6 years for school so I am pretty familiar with the area. I have a BS in Anthropology and a MPH from UCLA. Right now I am working for the National Children's Study as a household interviewer. I really hope she lets us know SOON! I have a deposit due for another school this Friday and I'm leaning more towards CSULA...if only I was in >

I am in the same boat! Big deposit due this Friday. Will hold out until Thursday, but then will have to overnight the money.

Well, at least some of you have heard back from one or two other schools by now. I'm still waiting on all of my schools. :( I'm in limbo.

Ugh, I'm sorry, I know all this waiting is frustrating! What other schools did you apply to?

I'm really hoping we hear something this week! I'm lucky in that the other program I was accepted to doesn't require a deposit just yet. I wonder if later in the week, maybe you guys with deposits due can email K? She seems really helpful and reasonable, and I'm sure would understand your dilemma.

I am also lucky because I don't have the deposit dilemma, but I am supposed to accept another school pretty soon so it would e nice to know!

I thought about emailing K, but decided not to. Just did not feel right to put that on her. It is my issue, not hers. AND in the end if I do get to go to CSULA, the savings on tuition is huge compared to the other school that $500 will not be a big deal!

@TLeeM my deposit is $500 too! ... Is yours for Columbia as well? And yep I agree the amount of money we would save going to CSULA makes the $500 not seem as so much. Counting the seconds!
