Discussion related to the Summer 2014 start of Cal State LA's ABSN/ELMN program.

How did it go? :)

I think it went well, but it's so hard to tell with these things!

It's my #1 choice as well!

Yeah. If they do manage to interview 50 people, then that puts everybody's odds at about a 60% chance of getting in since they take 30 students. That's pretty good, but I still wish the odds were better.

I think today may be the last day of interviews. At least this was the last date option I was offered.

I know she said last week of March, but decisions usually come out pretty quickly after the last interviews, according to previous boards. How awesome would it be to find out in the next couple of days!!

It would be quite a relief to hear back from at least one of my schools, especially CSULA since it is my #1. You think perhaps as early as next week Monday?

Well on the 2011 and 2012 board, some decisions were made at early as two days after the last interviews! But last year, it was about a week. So it's probably more towards the end of next week, if anything! This wait is agonizing!

Is everyone from the area? What about everyone's backgrounds? Obviously we all have various bachelor's degrees, so it would be interesting to see where everyone is coming from!

I am originally from the SF Bay Area, but I just graduated last year from UC Irvine with a degree in biology, and I am looking forward to moving back to SoCal!

I am a few miles from CSULA. My undergraduate degree is a BS in Finance. Worked in business/operations/supply chain for almost 20 years! Now onto the next career (hopefully!).

I live about 20-30 minutes away, a little longer if there's traffic. My BA is in communications with an emphasis in entertainment studies. I do video production wok part time, and was working full time as a buyer in the garment industry until I got laid off in 2012. I can't wait to start this new chapter!
