Discussion related to the Summer 2014 start of Cal State LA's ABSN/ELMN program.
Well another day of waiting down! I wonder if it's going to be a phone call or email this year. It looks like last year, the first wave was calls, then emails a couple day later. I've been a maniac checking my phone/email/this board![/quote']The worst part about waiting, at least for me, is that you begin to doubt yourself.

I keep going over my interview in my head, and all my eloquent, intelligent answers went out the window!! Did anyone else feel like it was really short? I was with -------------- and the conversation part was only like 15 minutes.
@anilos: thanks for the info!! Good to know!

No, my interview was pretty much exactly 40 min.
I think the initial piece was 20 minutes, then the writing portion was 25 minutes, then back with ------------ for another 20 or so. She went over the costs, requirements (CPR, titers, etc) and then we talked more. I asked questions - she asked a few more. I think I was there for a total of an hour fifteen to an hour and half.
I do start to doubt myself too - the writing piece, my interaction with other staff (met a few along the way), etc. Will breath a huge sign of relief once it is all over (either way). So excited to hear something!!
Oh lord, haha, now I'm officially doubting getting accepted. As much as I really liked ------------, she didn't give me an opportunity to ask any questions, as she said that all my questions should be directed towards -------------. Now I'm really afraid I wasn't able to make a good impression. Argh, well you're right, knowing either way will be a relief!
So I see a lot of you live near CSULA or lived in the LA area previously. If accepted into CSULA, I would have to move to the area. I've conferred with someone who lives in LA county, but would like some more opinions. What areas are best to live in for commuting? Are safe? I also have a indoor-only, friendly cat, so I need a pet-friendly place. I've looked on zillow, yelp, hotpads, but websites can only say so much. Any advice would be appreciated.

Oh my! I did the math and the full program at CSULA is cheaper than the first year at WU. Yay for great state schools!
