CSUF EL-MSN 2011

Hi!

I'm about to turn in my application for Cal State Fullerton's EL-MSN 2011 program in person tomorrow (I know...what a procrastinator!). I'm just wondering, are there any CSUF applicants out there? If you turned your application in already, have you heard from the school yet?

I sent my acceptance letter today but still on the fence regarding CSULB. Hopefully, I'll be 100% committed to a program this week.

For those that sent in their acceptance to CSUF. Has anyone heard back from Stephanie or received confirmation that they got your acceptance email?

I called the school to verify if they received my acceptance or not, and all they said was if you received a generic email back from Stephanie then your email was received.

So I'm just wondering if anyone else got the same information/ results.

I haven't received a response either. I'm guessing we'll hear from the school when we get our info packets mid-June.

Hey!

I was interested in applying for Cal State Fullerton's Nursing program for 2012. I already have a bachelor's degree, so I would be doing their direct entry program. The only thing that I am not too crazy about is that their program is 3 years for an MSN (and you are still only an RN). I was wondering if any of you know that if it possible to stop attending the program after receiving my RN license and not continue to get the MSN. I eventually want to become an NP so I can get my MSN or even DNP later on which is my ultimate goal. Does anyone know what my options are through this program? I appreciate any sort of information! Thx

Hi! I'm also interested in appying for 2012 - but reading through this thread, it seems like they're changing up the application process. You now need to apply for CSUF first and then the SON application opens up later.

Do any of you guys who have already gone through this application process have any advice?? This is the only school I'm applying to so it's all or nothing for me!

Hello! I just got an invite for the interview 2012. For those of you that were accepted into the program last year, do you have any advice/tips for the interview? I know you are not allowed to divulge specific information but some tips on how you prepared would be very much appreciated! Also I was told it was be a group and one on one interview, how does that work? I mean what do you do during the group interview? Thank you!

The interview process was fairly straight forward. There isn't any real curveball. The panel will ask very generic questions along the lines of:

Why CSUF?

Why nursing?

What kind of support do you have?

If you had to think of about 20 questions that you think that the panel would ask, you'll probably guess the ones they will ask. I hope that helps. Good luck.
