CSUF ABSN Fall 2021

Published

Hi all!
I just wanted to create this forum for students who are applying to CSUF Fall 2021 for the ABSN program in case we had questions for each other, wanted to share thoughts, stats and to support each other through this journey.

To officially accept your admission, you need to make the deposit. When I went on, it led me to the payment page right after I confirmed acceptance. Check Titan Online>>Student Center>>Admissions again to see if it'll connect you to that payment page. If nothing is there, call Admissions office asap. It should've popped up for you.

The orientation it lists as ToDo is likely a university general orientation since our program orientation will be later in June. I would think that it'll just be a series of videos about how to get around campus, the TSU, bursar's office, etc. I'm alumni but I don't remember having to do an orientation when I transferred.

Thank you so much! I tried that again and nothing appeared. I also went to make a payment and nothing shows. @ABSNstudent91 mentioned that my payment got differed. I emailed admissions just to confirm that it was differed LOL.

It means your enrollment deposit is deferred!

CSUF still doesn't have any FAFSA information for me that I can see in my student center.

Thank you so much btw☺️! I saw that too. I still emailed admissions just to confirm that it was differed. Did you get the same thing? Also, are we having to register for orientation or does the nursing department send us out orientation dates? I am an alumni and started as a freshman so I do remember doing an orientation that lasted a whole day but I do not remember if I had to sign up for a date or if one was automatically assigned to me. I think I may be overthinking it LOL since these are conditions we have to meet to ensure we keep our spot.

Our Zoom orientation will definitely be on camera for June 23rd, but I don't think that'll be the case for June 1st.

Yes, I think @Tinyseabee is correct. The June 1st orientation is probably a general university orientation start date. We should go based off of what our program says. We can email the SON to clarify that it will only be the June 23rd orientation date. When I was a biology major I went to only one orientation and it was with students in my major.

I got mine on Tuesday morning. I think someone in the FB group said that when they contacted ---------------------, she said admissions has been sending in batches.

I got mine on Tuesday. We have to accept and pay the deposit by May 14th so I’m glad you reached out to ---------------------! Check for an email from [email protected]. Maybe it’s in your spam?

Hi! I emailed ------------------------ Tuesday with the same worry! She said they were sending them out in batches & to follow up with her if you haven’t received it by Friday afternoon!

Hi all! I’m graduating from this program next week, so I no longer need the 2 size small white scrub tops and a medium navy blue nursing polo that you’ll be required to buy for clinicals. They’re obviously used but barely look like it and are still in great shape. The polo I wore a handful of times and the scrub tops are white so they can be bleached to your heart’s content. If anyone gets into the program and wants them, they’re yours! Would have to pick up in Lakewood. I’d hate to see them go to waste. Let me know ?

Just saw an email was sent out today to my CSUF email from BSN advisor. Take a look as it has important info regarding what's coming up next and how communication will be through our CSU student emails moving forward.

What's the date on that email? It sounds like the one I got awhile ago. Haven't gotten anything in about 2 weeks now. Should probably setup my CSUF email to forward to my personal.

Today's date at around 2:50 PM, could be the same though not sure what was the one you are referring to.

I won’t be able to check it until tomorrow. I could almost swear I forwarded mine! Could you let me know the general gist of what it said?

Thanks! I don't check that email often, at least until I finish this last class, since it's a hassle trying to have to Outlook email accounts open at the same time.
