CSUF ABSN Fall 2021

Hi all! 
I just wanted to create this forum for students who are applying to CSUF Fall 2021 for the ABSN program in case we had questions for each other, wanted to share thoughts, stats and to support each other through this journey. 
 

The practice questions sound rather silly. Superpower? Flying obviously. After interviewing for another program, I feel like it prepared me for this one. I'll do it this afternoon or tomorrow.

Agreed! When I started the practice assessment, I was surprised of how weird the questions were and it does not prepare me at all for the interview. The timer made me more nervous LOL. But it's my first interview so I'm making myself even more nervous. I hope everything goes well.

Does anyone know how many students actually get admitted?

Also, what's the total cost of the program? Thanks!

I believe 40 students get admitted and the tuition is about $25k? Don't quote me tho haha I believe its in the FAQ of the site

This. Check the FAQ page and it'll direct you to the Bursar's office tuition listing for cost per unit, etc. It's affordable compared to other 4yr programs but like 2-3x the cost of a local ADN.

I just did the assessment.. very nerve wracking and I feel like there wasn't enough time to explain myself ?.. good luck to everyone else! let's talk about the questions after the deadline haha

Oh gosh that makes me nervous now ? I’m practicing the ones they used last year it was 4 as well

Hi all! Does anyone know the time limit on the questions? How many seconds/mins do we have to think about the question vs how many minutes we have to answer? Thanks!

I'm about to take mine and I am so nervous!! Were the questions easier than expected or harder?

Good luck!! I wanted to respect other applicants and let everyone have a fair shot for the interview process. So it’s best for everyone to try their best! But just expect all the basic nursing interview questions!

Hi @futurern23! How many minutes do we have to answer the questions? So nervous to do mine! But wishing you luck and congrats on finishing!!
