CSUEB - Cal State East Bay Fall 2020

Published

Thought I'd start at Fall 2020 thread for CSUEB to see if anyone else here is preparing to apply for Fall 2020 in Hayward.

I'm finishing up my pre-reqs this Fall and just signed up for the TEAS. Getting pretty excited as I feel like some of my hard work is starting to pay off and just wondered if anyone else is too. Here are some of my stats: science GPA 4.0, cumulative 3.97, local admin points and health hours are good.

I've never written a personal statement before which is now required, anyone have any tips? I want as many of those 20 points possible as I can manage!

I just checked with the nursing department in person today. The lady said the letters will hopefully be coming next week! AHH

ahhhhh! thanks for the update. I've applied to many programs this round and this will be the first one that I'll hear from. I don't know what to expect as far as how they'll score, especially since this is the first round utilizing the personal statement essay questions. I have a 4.0 GPA and paid healthcare experience going for me but that's about it. I had to use my 85.3 TEAS in order to submit in time. I retook the TEAS and got a higher score in January. I'm not local (live in Sacramento), no military, and I don't speak a second language. Fingers crossed and good luck to everyone!!

Of course and good luck to you and everyone else!! I've heard there were plenty of transfers that were accepted last year which is a great sign for people who applied out of the area!

Here is what I have for the application:

3.83 GPA, 87.9 TEAS, local admission area, took all science pre-req's at East Bay, health and community experience (both paid and unpaid) ~400hrs

Hey everyone, just saw this thread last night and was a bit excited to start replying. Anyways, all applications and paperwork submitted. Science GPA is 4.0. Cumulative is 3.89. Prior military experience in healthcare: medical lab tech, combat medic. Volunteer experience. TEAS 86. Hope we all get that acceptance. Finally feels like the end of the tunnel of pre-reqs.

everyone check your personal email. I did not get into the program. I didn't think I would considering my TEAS score and being non local, non military. it was a long shot.

Good luck to everyone!! ?

Hi everyone!
I just got an email from admissions and I've been waitlisted ? They mentioned they'll notify people on the list until August 12th to get off the waitlist but does anyone know how many people they actually put on the waitlist? They said they don't give out specific rankings so I have no clue where I'm at but here's to hoping!

Here's my stats: 3.78 GPA, Science GPA: 3.65, TEAS: 88.7, no military, no volunteer, no second
language, 3000+ hours of paid healthcare experience.

I hope everyone gets in though! Good Luck!!

I didn’t get in either, but I was accepted to another program near my house. Good luck meeting your goals, everyone! And congrats to those who got accepted!

I’ll add my stats just in case anyone is curious. My science and overall GPA is a 4.0, I got an 85.4% on my TEAS, I have 170 hours of volunteer experience, and I am fluent in two languages.
