Thank you! Keeping my fingers crossed CSUEB changes their minds and launches their program earlier than expected.

I have heard the deferral is due to a staffing issue within CSUEB. I don’t think they were prepared to pivot to a hybrid/virtual model of teaching so quickly. It’s too bad because literally every other nursing program is moving forward. I start at CSM on Wednesday. ?

@korychristian I am not aware what the process is for alternates. I assumed they worked down the list once someone drops out. That seems fairest. Tbh, I’m sad I gave up my spot, but I don’t want to wait until January to start school. I wish a Fall 2020 spot was offered because I would have gladly taken it. I’m hoping my drop out would help someone get off the waiting list.

I just gave up my spot for Spring 2021 because I was accepted to a Fall program that starts in 2 weeks. Hopefully, someone from the waiting list gets a call soon. Good luck, everyone!

Thanks, @SirGerms! When I emailed after the orientation, I was informed I would know my waitlist number by Friday and instead I got an acceptance email. I know she said that 10 applicants declined their offers, so I’m assuming she called at least 10 on the waiting list. Hopefully more people get off the waitlist soon. Good luck!

They literally sent us an email 2 minutes ago. It looks like everything is in the air regarding clinicals, but they are actively working towards a clear plan on how to execute things for fall. Until then, we need to work on compliance in Complio starting June 1st. I am relieved they are still moving forward. CSUEB's Fall 2020 cohort has been deferred until Fall 2021. ?

I got my decline letter this morning. I’m not too heartbroken since I got into EVC’s nursing program back in February. CONGRATS to those who get into a program and good luck to those who are still waiting! Stay safe, everyone!

I also got my point total wasn’t high enough. I don’t have health experience or speak a second language, so I knew it was a long shot as far as points go.

I haven't heard anything either. I'm hoping they'll inform us this week. They notified 2019 Fall applicants on March 6 last year.

My friend got accepted to a BSN program, so she will be giving up her space for Fall 2020 at EVC. I remember hearing from an EVC nursing instructor many spaces are given up in April and May since applicants get accepted to BSN programs around that time and decide to attend there instead. Be patient, alternates! I think a few spaces will open around then.
