Hello everyone,

Application period is officially open so I wanted to start a thread and see how everyone's feeling!

Still haven’t received anything so far. Good luck everyone!

Me either. Anyone else refreshing their email every 5-10 minutes? LOL!

Yes… in between logging into MYCSUEB to check my application status ???

This is nerve wrecking. No one has said anything about receiving notifications. I’m thinking it might not be today but maybe later around the week? Or does anyone know what time people have received rejection letters?

The trend thus far has been every Monday. We still have some time today I guess, IDK what time others received rejections. I wish they would just rip the band-aid off already!! ??

Maybe they’re reading our personal statements now, which is requiring more time? IDK, ugh! I have to log out ??

I think It won't be until next week. They emailed me earlier today saying they're reviewing my app and to provide a syllabus for one of my classes. So it looks like they're still working on apps. Good luck to everyone!

Hopefully we hear back from them next week! Also,  I wanted to ask, Did you email them about your application or did they just randomly email you? I wanted to ask about my app but IDK if they’re going to say anything

They just randomly emailed me this afternoon.
Doesn’t hurt to email them and just ask if your app is complete and/or if they need any additional information.

Hi,

Update on my application. I wasn't able to update last week cause of my busy schedule and also being sad about the email I received. However, I did receive an update from them around 11ish in the morning last Monday. I got a rejection letter and it simply states that my scores and overall stats weren't high enough (excluding the personal statements).

Here are my stats if you guys are wondering or curious :

TEAS: 91.3%

Pre-req : 3.9 GPA

4 sciences: 3.8 GPA

Based on the information stated on their website (if you're in the contra costa district/county you're a "local"): I live in Brentwood which is 20-30 mins away from Concord.

I also had previous experiences as a care provider with more than 450hrs.

I hope that helps! I felt discouraged at first when finding out this news but I was hoping that this may help someone in the near future. It took me a week to come to a realization that things happen for a reason and I'm praying those who have not gotten any emails yet to get good news soon!!

Your stats are so good!! I’m sure that you will get into a great nursing school. I’m so nervous I wonder what they are really looking for. It seems that a lot of people who have high GPA’s and TEAS score are getting rejected this application period.

Thank you for sharing your information with us! You’re stats are a dream for 99.9% of applicants. I wish you the best!

For those who haven’t hear back yet, do you guys have 2 or more additional points or criteria? Not including TEAS and GPA.

Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words :,(((. But I think this is a good way to think positively as well. Maybe they aren't just looking at scores but you're overall potential as a student and a nurse in the future. I wish I had gotten in but I know God has better plans for me. And, I hope you get in!

Yes, that is what I am wondering as well. California has just been so competitive. I am really praying that everyone else gets in :).
