Not quite sure about that one. Internal applicants are likely unionized employees, and should get first dibs/priority over external applicants in roles within the company (as long as they meet all of the minimum qualifications). Stuff like that is usually written in their union contract.

I would say just go to your profile and put it back on there. Just make sure to label which cover letter is for NCAL and SCAL.. you can add multiple documents. Don't panic! I heard there were over 3000 applicants, so they may not have even reached yours just yet. Interview invites are sent in waves. Based on the timeline given in their information session, all invites should go out by the end of next week. You still have time, don't lose hope!

I'm external, but I did a clinical rotation at KP.

My resume has a section for clinical experience and lists each rotation just as they requested. Hospital, unit, hours (included dates as well). Hope this helps! I also got an invite for East Bay. Best of luck to you all ???

Hi there! First, congrats on your acceptances! I too was accepted to both schools, but ultimately chose east bay simply because of its proximity to my home. I live in the east bay and the commute to SFSU for school and clinicals would be terrible at times! SFSU’s program is 2 years, while EB is 2.5. The NCLEX pass rate is currently higher at SFSU (88%) than EB (80%), but the results may be a bit skewed bc EB had about double the amount of students who took the exam this year. Both schools have great professors and relationships with local hospitals for clinical placements. They both are about the same price as well. It’s a hard decision, but the good thing is…you honestly can’t go wrong either way! Best of luck to you!

I got in! But, I’m going to decline admission because I was also accepted into East Bay. Hopefully someone who is waitlisted will get in. Here are my stats for future references: 4.0 Cumulative GPA 88.7 TEAS 250+ hrs of community service CNA license with 980+ hrs of work experience. I wish you all the best of luck with your nursing journey. If you didn’t get in, reassess and reapply! This was my 3rd time applying, so don’t give up!!
