Hi everyone... I decided to make a thread for all of us Fall 2015 applicants at CSUCI. I'm kind of surprised no one has done so yet. If anyone wants to, please list your stats and your point total so we can see who CSUCI let's into the program and try to figure out what the cutoff is this year in terms of points. It will help students in the following years understand their chances of getting into the program as well.
Here's what I have:
Core GPA=4.0= 9points (I got a W in physio)
Overall GPA=4.0=6points
TEAS English and Reading Score=98th percentile=6points
TEAS Math Score=100 percent= 5 points
Resident of Ventura= 4points
Military= 4points
Volunteer Hours= >200= 3 points
Total= 37 points
Hopefully you guys can post too. Good luck to everyone!
Here's the supplemental criteria info if you need to calculate your points: http://nursing.csuci.edu/programs/suppcriteria-2015.pdf
I found the same PowerPoint on the CSUCI website. Scores of 31 getting in!

I have 35 points, but I haven't received any emails either way. This is a pretty crazy process. It seems like most years, students knew by the first week of April.
I just want to remind you all that it is not always all about the points. One of the factors that goes into an application (although it is not mentioned anywhere) is diversity. I was admitted at a time when most people had 35+ points but I had 31 or 30 I dont remember (no work experience and never volunteered a minute in my life). I knew I was going to be accepted based on my academics like the teas (perfect scores across the board), my 4.0 GPA , and the fact that I was a hispanic male. So if someone with less points than you gets admitted it is probably not by mistake. Hope this helps some of you that are confused about how the admission process goes.
