Hi everyone... I decided to make a thread for all of us Fall 2015 applicants at CSUCI. I'm kind of surprised no one has done so yet. If anyone wants to, please list your stats and your point total so we can see who CSUCI let's into the program and try to figure out what the cutoff is this year in terms of points. It will help students in the following years understand their chances of getting into the program as well.
Here's what I have:
Core GPA=4.0= 9points (I got a W in physio)
Overall GPA=4.0=6points
TEAS English and Reading Score=98th percentile=6points
TEAS Math Score=100 percent= 5 points
Resident of Ventura= 4points
Military= 4points
Volunteer Hours= >200= 3 points
Total= 37 points
Hopefully you guys can post too. Good luck to everyone!
Here's the supplemental criteria info if you need to calculate your points: http://nursing.csuci.edu/programs/suppcriteria-2015.pdf

Has anyone received a email reminder for the orientation this May 29th? I haven't heard from them at all. I'm just curious. Thank you.
I turned mine in by hand and I haven't received any emails. She didn't say we would. She just said that we would receive an email about 10 days before the first orientation reminding us about that. I'm sure you can check with the nursing office to see if they received yours.
Hi ! I'm currently a senior nursing student at CSUCI. I was on the alternate list and got accepted a week later. However, the year after me, my friend was an alternate and didn't get in. It really varies every year depending on what number you are. They won't tell you what number you are (trust me, I tried). But do not give up hope! Spots do open LAST MINUTE sometimes. Good luck.
