CSUCI Nursing BSN Fall 2015

Published

Hi everyone... I decided to make a thread for all of us Fall 2015 applicants at CSUCI. I'm kind of surprised no one has done so yet. If anyone wants to, please list your stats and your point total so we can see who CSUCI let's into the program and try to figure out what the cutoff is this year in terms of points. It will help students in the following years understand their chances of getting into the program as well.

Here's what I have:

Core GPA=4.0= 9points (I got a W in physio)

Overall GPA=4.0=6points

TEAS English and Reading Score=98th percentile=6points

TEAS Math Score=100 percent= 5 points

Resident of Ventura= 4points

Military= 4points

Volunteer Hours= >200= 3 points

Total= 37 points

Hopefully you guys can post too. Good luck to everyone!

Here's the supplemental criteria info if you need to calculate your points: http://nursing.csuci.edu/programs/suppcriteria-2015.pdf

Hey guys, just got my email saying I got into the program.

Hopefully everyone else got an email and those of you who were excepted/waitlisted did not get denied.

I got an email, too. When they sent the first emails, in error, I was accepted as an alternate. I just got denied :(

I got denied too :/

congrats to whoever got in!

Hey guys, I know it doesn't mean much but I'm sorry that the school accepted and then rejected you. I've had something sort of similar happen to me and I know its really heart breaking. I hope you guys have another program you got into or get accepted soon.

Thats really nice and sincere of you to say, thank you. I hope we all get into a great program too. Good luck in whichever school you decide to go to!!

Denied with 34 points. I guess im going to just have to wait a year and take some pre-med classes at Cal state CI and other classes at a community college in Ventura County to get those Preference points (6 points as current student and 4 points Resident)

I'm still young; 21 in June. Good luck to all with their futures and never give up on your goals and dreams.

I got accepted!! :) I hope this one isn't a glitch. Congratulations to those who got accepted! And I'm sorry to the ones who didn't... Don't let it get you down! There are a lot of opportunities out there & you just gotta try again. Good luck to you all!

I made it. I'm sorry for all of you who worked so hard and then had to deal with this jumbled process. Just keep your head up and keep at it! The problem is the system and not you.

I got in with 35 and I don't know if being a hispanic male has anything to do, but I made it! Also, I'm so deeply sorry for those who didn't and just know that everything happens for a reason, always have a plan B ready in casy this happens and keep it up, we all are on the same path and we know it is hard. Good luck and congratulations to the other applicants who got in!

how many points do you have as an alternate?

Anyone who hasn't listed their points or whether they got in or not, it would be much appreciated if you did. I'll be able to compile a list so anyone looking at this thread in the future can see what they need point wise to get into the program. Thanks guys!

Veteran, 25 year old, white female with 33 points-didn't get accepted.
