Hi everyone... I decided to make a thread for all of us Fall 2015 applicants at CSUCI. I'm kind of surprised no one has done so yet. If anyone wants to, please list your stats and your point total so we can see who CSUCI let's into the program and try to figure out what the cutoff is this year in terms of points. It will help students in the following years understand their chances of getting into the program as well.
Here's what I have:
Core GPA=4.0= 9points (I got a W in physio)
Overall GPA=4.0=6points
TEAS English and Reading Score=98th percentile=6points
TEAS Math Score=100 percent= 5 points
Resident of Ventura= 4points
Military= 4points
Volunteer Hours= >200= 3 points
Total= 37 points
Hopefully you guys can post too. Good luck to everyone!
Here's the supplemental criteria info if you need to calculate your points: http://nursing.csuci.edu/programs/suppcriteria-2015.pdf
Just wanted to give you guys a little update....
I was kind of confused/distraught that I didn't get at the very least get waitlisted to CSUCI so I literally just drove down there and spoke to them. They are pretty secretive and wouldn't tell me what the cut-off score was or even tell me what they got as my point total but I told them according to what I calculated, I should have 37 points. The lady there asked for my name and she went into her office and asked me to have a seat outside her office. While she was in there, I was fooling with my phone and I saw that I got an email from CSUCI saying that 'the CSUCI nursing office has received your TEAS score'. The lady then walked out of her office and told me that they would be re-assessing my application and that I would hear back from them by the end of this week. I was happy enough to hear that, said "thank you" and left.
I never got an email before saying that the CSUCI got my TEAS results so I'm kind of guessing that something went wrong with the processing of my application. I don't know if this means that they didn't already have my scores before or what actually happened but if I had to guess, I think they didn't look my TEAS results for some reason. I'll let you guys know what happens.
