Hi Everyone!

I see that there is no thread for the cohort for Spring 2015 for the ABSN Program yet! So this is my official attempt at making a thread for it! Please use this thread as a place for comments, questions and admission decision updates! I actually have been offered conditional acceptance already and would love to meet future classmates! Thanks guys!

Hi Everyone,

I took the TEAS June 14, submitted my online application June 16, hand delivered my transcripts June 17, and received my initial evaluation July 8. I just completed my last pre-nursing core class August 7th, at CSUSM (the grade for which wasn't official until last week). My points, as I figure them, should be competitive. I'm biting my nails and driving my family nuts waiting.

I am happy to have found this thread last night. I have two questions:

1. To those who have been lucky enough to have already earned a slot in this cohort, did your acceptance only come by email, or was it accompanied/followed with snail mail? I've added Extended Learning to my VIP list, but I am worried about email going to my spam folders (yes, I'm cruising those, too, like a hawk).

2. I won't join without an acceptance letter, but I have been trying to find the Facebook group and have had no luck. I have searched the name, as published in another comment, both in Facebook and in Google. I've tried multiple variations and none of it is finding the group. Would someone please make it clear how to find the Facebook page.

Thank you for being a spot I can share preadmission jitters and get some info. Good luck to us all, we are going to need it.

Hi Dgap!

Welcome! I have only received my conditional acceptance via email and have never received anything in the mail (yet). You can also check for a change of status through MyCSUSM portal. It will be changed to "admitted" and you will be able to accept or decline the offer.

Thanks for letting us know that the facebook group is not searchable. Should have known something was up after a week of getting no responses. I have reported the problem and I believe it has already been resolved. Let me know if that is not the case.

I am still anticipating the background check email so I understand your worries. We are all in a state of waiting.

Thanks for your response and working on the Facebook issue. As of 2 pm today, I still cannot find the Facebook page. The good news is I received a updated complete evaluation form today. I don't know when the deadline is, but my points have me in the running.

I got accepted today. I have paid my deposit. I am soooo excited! I am looking forward to meeting you all! I am still struggling with trying to find the Facebook page. What is it titled? It is possible I have been searching the wrong page title. (CSUSM ABSN COHORT 21). Thanks!
