CSU San Marcos ABSN Summer 2014

Hey Everyone!!

The wait is driving me a little crazy, so I'd thought I'd start a thread for anyone else who is applying! I won't be finishing my last pre-reqs until end of December, so I'm probably way too late for the Spring cohort. Is anyone else in the same situation? Let me know! I'd love to talk to anyone applying/interested/already in the program :)

Hi all!

I applied for the Summer 2014 Cohort, but it looks like I might have submitted my application too late to be considered for the summer.

I wanted to know from those of you who had your application rolled to the next pool, how long did it take you to hear back that you were put in the pool for the following semester? And does anyone know how long they keep your application for (like amount of pools they'll consider you for)?

So I sent my application on Jan 31st and finally my application status says " complete". I hope to get my evaluation soon.:nailbiting:

I finally received my evaluation and basically received some shocking news. Long story short, I was told that my statistics course did not count because it was taken at a UC instead of at an approved CSU or CC. The advisor said that the material that my course covered was not equivalent to what they were looking for! I asked if I could send the course syllabus to petition, but was denied. The stats course I took is equivalent to an intro stats course at my local CC, which according to assist.org, is transferable to CSUs...but apparently this cross articulation is not accepted. I also applied to other CSUs, and I'm freaking out that my stats course won't count for any of them :(

I was given the option to enroll in Math 200, extended learning's 2 month intro stats course. I panicked and ended up enrolling. It was about $750, ugh. I'm pretty frustrated with the whole situation...feel like I'm having horrible luck with applications.

I am in your exact same situation. I graduated from ucsd and took stats during my undergrad. Needless to say, I was shocked that they wouldn't accept my class considering it was from a California public school that is highly respected! Ugh!! This process is so stressful. Oh well... See you online in Math 200.

Hi! Im from Cohort 15. One of my housemates is moving out and we need to find a housemate. Its a 3 bedroom on the 2nd floor. It's going to be with me and one other girl, and a cat. Its 520 for your own room and bathroom (its the masters). It is located 7 minutes for campus, 5 minutes from the public library, 2 minutes from a starbucks and right by the freeway near target so it makes a great meetup place for carpool. Water, Electric, Gas, Internet total equals to about 40 dollars a month. There is a washer/dryer on our balcony so you dont gotta go to the laundromat! This lease is available from April 1st, 14 to January 1st, 15. Theres a community gym/pool/ bbq by the front office. There's also a computer, printer, fax machine in the front office as well! Thanks!
