CSU San Marcos ABSN Fall 2017

Published

Hey guys!

I just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2017 ABSN at CSUSM at the Temecula campus so we could all go through this process together and get to know each other! I know it's still early since the deadline isn't until March but I have submitted my application recently and I'm impatient.

So if anyone else has applied or is planning on applying, let's get a conversation going!

Good luck everyone!

I emailed them about acceptances and they just said unto expect to hear from them after you receive your evaluation. They didn't give any time frame...

I e-mailed them too since I was curious and they just told me to wait for my evaluation first and then redirected me to my counselor.

The wait is torture..

Emailed my counselor today and she said acceptance letters/emails will start coming out mid may and if you haven't heard back by June to email your counselor. So we have a few more weeks of waiting

I randomly decided to check my student web portal today and found out I was admitted for Fall!!!

Thank you for letting us know to check our portal.

I also got admitted for the fall!!!

I was also accepted! I now have to make a tough choice to either go for this program or an ADN degree. Anyone have any thoughts?

I was pretty surprised I was admitted because I only have 30 points. Hopefully this gives people with lower scores some hope!

I was admitted. Can't wait to get started and meet everyone!

Roasted.Peanuts- I think both programs are great. I was debaung on whether I wanted to go to Grossmont College for my ADN and do the bridge program with Point Loma University but after calculating costs and comparing both schools, the ABSN program would be a lot shorter even though it is about $10,000 more. I still think finishing faster is a better option for me because hopefully that means a better job immediately after graduating. Good luck to you!

For those attending, where are you guys going to live?

I'm going to have to move close to campus and need to start thinking about housing. Any ideas of where to look

Jeney21- Same here. I'm not familiar with the area but if anyone is looking for roommates, maybe we can all discuss possibilities during orientation!
