Csu sacramento fall 2010 nursing

Published

Hey all!

Just got my acceptance email to Sac State nursing program for Fall 2010!!!!

Who else got in! been waiting for this for foreverrrrr!

Thanks guys! Wow 80? I'm really excited, I can't wait!! I was 31.. Are you guys transfer students too? Because I'm looking at the transfer orientation dates by major and I'm guessing I should sign up under pre-nursing? I'm a bit confused by that:confused:

Hello WWE Diva. That's good news! Do you know why they decided to admit 80 and is it for all CSU's? Thanks for the info!

I am not sure about the other CSU's, but I know that it's for Sacramento for sure.

My transfer orientation date is Thursday June 10th, how about you?

& i think they admitted 80 students this semester because they are transitioning into a bigger facility

June 22nd! I am now starting to think I should have signed up for the earlier session. Isn't it the earlier we go to the orientation, the sooner we can register?

31? Wow! We are transfer students and I was also confused about what to mark. So I went ahead and put prenursing because that was really my only option.

Oh good...I wasn't the only one confused lol...hmm what is the other orientation for? My email listed a new nursing student orientation on aug 25th?...lol..I guess i'll get more info on everything else soon lol ..thanks for your help!

-We all had to register for pre-nursing transfer orientation even though we will have our own nursing program orientation on August 25th. Sac state now requires all transfer students to do it (probably want our 50 bucks lol)

-I registered for the transfer orientation on March 1st that's why my pre-nursing transfer orientation date (June 10) is earlier then the ones that are now available. I guess the earlier ones already filled up!

-& yeah we get to register for other classes (outside of the nursing curriculum) the day of the transfer orientation, if we want to.

Oh ok I see how it all works now...thanks! Thank goodness I'm done with prereqs...bet classes are almost filled up by now.

ksanchez234 and other alternates that got in:

i am debating on whether or not to spend 3,000 to retake 2 classes at sac state to improve my gpa.

if you guys don't mind me asking, could you please let me know what your gpa's were so i can see if summer school would be worth it? i've been waiting for them to post the applicant pool stats but it has not been updated yet and summer school starts june 2!

thanks a bunch.

^ what is your GPA right now? teas score?

Low. It's 3.414. I took the coreqs before deciding to go into prenursing and didn't ace them.

I got a 94 on the teas. I also qualify for 9 of the extra pts.

See if I retake these two classes my gpa will go up to 3.560.

My question is will it be enough?

Thanks

I had all A's and one B in english, and two classes in progress when I applied. If I were you, I would reconsider taking those courses at a JC so that you can save money. It doesn't matter where you retake the course. Acceptance also depends on how you did on your teas exam. Have you taken it yet?

your gpa = 9 points out of 50

your teas = 39 points out of 50

extra = 9 points

total: 57 points. (67 points if you redo those 2 classes).

the lowest cut-off was like a 73 back in fall 07. Is sac your only option b/c it doesn't look too good. sorry :( You never know what will happen though so I would still apply but also look into different schools. You stats would be competitive for CSU East Bay.

The GPA really messes you up mostly due to how Sac distributes the points. its pretty crazyyy

Thanks! I had all A's and a B in my prereqs and coreqs. How are your grades in the co reqs and pre reqs? Are you willing to retake courses?
