Hey guys! I couldn't find the spring 2019 forum, so I decided to start one myself. I am applying to chico for the spring 2019 cohort and was wondering who else is applying for this semester. I am applying with 92 points.
Don't worry we're in the same boat. My current school is CSULB, I began school there in 2016 and completed most of my prereqs there but sadly will not be attending. I was denied. I also applied to CSU sac, but I have 69 points and we were just informed that the person who holds the last seat had 69 points, so I am most likely on the wait list. But, I'm not really bummed about the waitlist and denial because I really do want to experience something new and move to Chico since I've lived in socal all my life. The wait is killing me! lol You have great points as well! Their cut offs have been in that range, and they usually take many off the waitlist anyway so I am sure you'll be fine :)

Did you get the email about the orientation?
Yes! I got it. I called the number listed at the bottom of the email and the lady I spoke to said it isn't mandatory to attend. The orientation is to learn a bit more about Chico state and to get help registering for classes, but we wouldn't be able to register because we don't know if we're officially admitted yet. Maybe they'll have an orientation for just the nursing students? I am not sure, maybe someone else knows a bit more about this ????
They state that the absolute latest on their website will be the 21st. While I understand the fires have been hugely devastating the school is already responding later than most other schools. In addition, it sucks not knowing whether or not one should apply for Fall 2019 schools as that date will put it even past the extension that CSU apply has made for priority registration. (Normally Nov 30th but now Dec 15th)

That explains why they usually take so many people from the waitlist (last semester 15). Probably by the time they notify people, most of everyone has already made arrangements to attend other schools that have rolled out notifications previously. In addition, a late notification date means that it is less competitive since the previous denied students wont be able to apply anymore since its past the due date...
When did you get the email? I didn't receive one yet nor a rejection letter. Ahh I'm hoping my application went through okay!
I got it on monday. The enail said: The CSU, Chico School of Nursing Admissions Committee is diligently working to finish spring 2019 application review and have our decisions out by Friday, Dec. 7 or Monday, Dec. 10. Thank you for your continued patience.
Thats it...

I totally forgot about that. I think you are correct. You points are very good. I only have like 91 points, but i have been denied at all the other schools that i applied to, so Chico is my last hope...
