CSU Chico Spring 2019

Hey guys! I couldn't find the spring 2019 forum, so I decided to start one myself. I am applying to chico for the spring 2019 cohort and was wondering who else is applying for this semester. I am applying with 92 points.

I have 90 points.

That sounds like a good score... last year the point cut off was 90.50 but they still took 5 from the alternate list... this past fall semester the point cut off was like 91.5 but they took 15 from alternate list, so i just hope the point does not increase a lot because chico is my only hope. I have already been denied from all the other schools that i applied to, so im almost getting ready to apply again...

I feel the same way. I'm waitlisted to my top choice, and if I get waitlisted here, too, I'm just hoping one of the lists moves far enough to me! Haha. Still wondering how they tie break though.

No, but Chico is my last hope, so i hope i get in... We probably wont hear back until sometime around December

Does anybody else keep recalculating their points? I'm so nervous.. I keep going to their self eval. calculator page to make sure I didn't calculate my points incorrectly. I keep getting the same total points at the very end, but I still feel like I may be calculating something incorrectly. I guess it's just the nerves, I can't wait to some sort of email/update!!!!

I see that on your science courses you get 40/40, but on your science gpa you have 2/3. How is that?

I have two A's and two B's in my sciences, since they give out full points for your two best science grades I get 40/40 points for the science prerequisite section. Then, when they give out points for the science GPA they take all your courses into account, which then gives me only a 3.5 GPA, (2 points). I believe I did calculate everything correctly, but let me know if I didn't :) !
