Hey guys! I couldn't find the spring 2019 forum, so I decided to start one myself. I am applying to chico for the spring 2019 cohort and was wondering who else is applying for this semester. I am applying with 92 points.
I just noticed that I was provisionally accepted as well!
Once you're provisionally accepted you must click "accept" next to the admissions decision in your student portal. The next screen will prompt you to choose whether you will pay the $200 fee or are "EXEMPT." As nursing applicants we choose EXEMPT!
It's super easy! Hope this helped!!!! :)
Hi all. Is anyone applying as a post-baccalaureate or someone who is graduating with a degree next spring? Decided last minute that I wanted to pursue nursing but was already on track for different degree so I was able to get all my prereqs together and apply but I'm not sure if this somehow puts me below traditional pre-nursing students? So I'm not sure if I have an equal chance of getting into the program compared to other students if that makes sense lol. Just a little worried but I may be overthinking it because I know some schools pick traditional undergraduates over post-baccalaureate applicants. I received a 90% on my TEAS and have 91 points on the application.
Chico is a little bit different as it does allow second degrees to apply to the traditional BSN program. You are NOT beneath traditional applicants and you get evaluated the same way as others. You should be competitive based on points as that's how much I have as well but Chico is getting crazy competitive.
Hi everyone, I think I will be applying with 91 points. That depends on whether they accept what I turned in as proof of language proeficiency or not. Spanish is my first language. For 17 years, that was the only language that I spoke, so it would be kind of dumb not to get points for it. The Dean of international students wrote a letter for me stating that I can communicate in spanish at a normal conversational rate, and that I am fluent; however, he is no english professor or anything like that, so I am kind of doubtful about it...

I don't see the "accept" button on my Student Center page. Does that mean I haven't been provisionally accepted to the university? I received two emails on 10/4 and 10/24 that both said that I need to accept/decline acceptance to the university and that the deadline is November 15. I'm confused :/ When I click "View Application Details" all it says is they've received my app and it's pending.

I'm applying to Chico as a second choice, but I've been provisionally accepted as well. Is it possible to extend the deadline past mid-November or would I just have to bite the bullet and accept on the chance of getting into the program? I am applying with 91 points.
