CSU Chico Spring 2019

Published

Hey guys! I couldn't find the spring 2019 forum, so I decided to start one myself. I am applying to chico for the spring 2019 cohort and was wondering who else is applying for this semester. I am applying with 92 points.

Hi :) I am doing the same! Nice to meet you! My name is Kevin. I think I'm applying with 90-92 points depending on if they calculate my gpa as a quarter or semester for my quarter chemistry. Other than that I'm pretty sure it's all right.

I have a question, did you send them the official teas results already? I already did but I'm not sure if I should've included them in my application. I just put my AP test score and my transcript from highschool (to show I took 4 years of Spanish) etc.

Hey, nice to meet you too! Yes, I already sent my results and included them in my app just in case. I would call to make sure though!

hello! i'm applying with only 86 points but i'm hoping to be put on the alternate list and then make it in lol. not my first choice school so i'm not too stressed but i would love to have it as an option.

Hello! I am applying to the Spring 2019 cohort with 92 points as well.

Hello everyone!

I am applying to California State University, Chico for spring of 2019 as well. I am so so so eager to hear back from admissions, but I know it will probably be a while. Here is my point breakdown:

Science Prerequisites: 40/40

Foundation Prerequisites: 20/20

TEAS test score: 19/20

Cumulative GPA: 3/3

Science GPA: 2/3

Language Proficiency: 4/4

Volunteer Experience: 1/1

Work Experience: 0/4

Veteran Status: 0/1

Co-requisites: 4/4

Summary: 93/100

I am actually from Southern California, but CSU Chico is my first school of choice. I do think moving 7 hours away from home will be a big transition for me though, but I am excited to meet everyone! I wish the best of luck to all of the Spring 2019 applicants!!!

I applied but I didn't calculate my points. My gpa is high but my TEAS score is 87.3 so I'm not too hopeful, but fingers crossed

You can calculate your point total with their self evaluation point calculator tool posted on their website. Here is a link:Nursing Self Evaluation Calculator

Best of luck!

Hey yall! I applied to Chico to start in Spring 2019 at their nursing program! I've been denied from the actual university but I'm working on getting a certification that will let me into the university. And I'm applying wih 91 points I believe. I saw that someone from a prevous period had asked about housing and I'm curious to see what everyone will be doing for housing if they get in. I would definitely prefer to live with a studious nursing student so if anyone is interested if they end up getting in, feel free to let me know if you're in the same situation. This is the first time I've posted on something like this so it makes me nervous to post.

Has anyone been accepted/denied into Chico yet? I got an e-mail today saying that we need to accept admission by November 15th even though we will not know yet if we have been accepted into the nursing program. I took that as, they've sent out acceptances -- but my application still says pending. Anyone else?

My total points is 90, I am hoping for a low average this year to get in! Seems low compared to all ya'll- great job! Good luck!

My application is still "pending" as well! I don't think acceptances have been sent out yet, I just think they are making sure everyone knows to accept/decline admission by 11/15. But, I think those who applied to the nursing program are able extend that period of time until we are actually accepted; there should be another option available for us to click I believe (or so I've heard).

I have been provisionally accepted to California State University, Chico. I'm just waiting now to hear back from its nursing school...

Do you know how it works for other nursing schools like Long Beach and Sacramento? Like am I only allowed to file an intent to enroll at one university or?
