Did anyone apply to CSU Bakersfield? I applied for the Spring 2010.
Hi Mike!
Well, I am just being candid and looking at the facts/stats...I wish you and all the A students good luck...I will just have to take the long route and do the ADN and then do a RN to BSN online program. Thats what happens when you are a B student. I wonder if all the other accelerated students made it into the fall 2009 class and I am the only one floundering...chin up, I tell myself ...something will come my way eventually.

oh ok ....
Anyhow, may I ask a favor from you? I want a copy of the 2010 spring score sheet and any other spring 2010 documents that you have if you may. I lost mine like Atlyss.
I would contact ***** ***** and she can send them as attachments...I do not have a scanner. I can give you specific info on the criteria sheet if you want that. The scoring is the same on the GPA and the MAth/Science until you get to the 3.75 -4.0 get 20 points and on the old one you could earn up to 25 points ...for every step from 3.75, 3.80,3.90. 4.0 you earned another point.
So just ask me and I can look at the sheets or you can contact *****.
Ok so here are my stats
For 6 prereq's I achieved A's, and one pre requisite is an A- and that's Chemistry. Also, I'm in progress with Microbiology this semester.
I took Pathophysiology in the summer, and I got a B+. And for the rest of my cognates, I fulfilled with an A.
So I'm sure I'm fine with the whole G.P.A. thing.
Another thing, I'm a continuing student at CSUB, and I live in the Bakersfield service area.
The drawback is the TEAS, which I scored a 78.2% on. Like almost everyone who took that test, it was the science portion that killed me... especially physics and life science.
So how many points would that be?
Oh and I have question, for in progress classes, do we send transcripts to the nursing department?

Oh I am very sorry to hear that. You can still take the TEAS again if you want, but watch out for some schools for they have different rules on multiple TEAS exams taken. CSUB takes your most recent score.
Have you taken any SAT, SAT II, ACT, or any other related exams like so? That would have given you a heads up. I am not sure if I can help you, but I really want to encourage you, though I don't know how to.
You see, I took the TEAS without studying. I never studied prior to my 1st TEAS exam (I only took it once). I never bought an ATI book, nor listened to what other people told me. I relied solely on my high school knowledge(I'm with you, class of 2008 seniors). I did recieve questions from all areas. Anatomy, physiology, physics, chemistry, earth science, etc....
My advice, definitely TAKE THE TEAS AGAIN ASAP before registration closes.
I don't know about you, but when I took my TEAS, other people said I should take it again. I only took it once and got an overall 80%. I thought that was good enough, so I never took the TEAS again. Other people would settle for at least a 93%.
If you need help, I can try to help you with these TEAS questions. I rock at ALL the sciences, especially physics, chemistry, and earth sciences. Math, I was okay with since I took AP Calculus in high school. English grammar is something I rock at too, since I tutor English to Spaniards and Spanish-speakers. I suck so bad at the reading though. Just ask me for help.
Remember! Don't feel discouraged!! Take the TEAS again and you will do better next time! You will feel confident once you sit your behind down on that chair, and burn the test with your pencil bubbling. Trust me, the second time is much better than the first. Why? Because you learned from your mistakes, AND you know what to EXPECT. As well as now, you have access for help:D. And you can always ring me up man, I'm always up for chit-chats. So go back to ATI and sign up for the next coming TEAS! In the meantime, I suggest you anticipate in answering all the questions on the next TEAS test, even if it is a guess, because I think they DO mark you off for questions unanswered. So start studying for the math and science questions. Understand basic concepts and key terminology. Those are your hints. They trigger something intangible.
Good luck dude!
you can do it:smokin:
