You can't apply for the winter/spring 2010 anymore since the CSU budget cut fiasco is going on and all CSU campuses have stopped their accepting applications for the winter quarter and will not accept any spring applicants. Only for the Fall is when they are open, sorry to say so.

My GPA that I had when I applied for the winter 2010 for the sprin 2010 class was a 3.77 overall and a 3.81 for prerequisite course work. I'm not from the Bakersfield area so I didn't get any bonus points for that nor am I economically disadvantaged and educationally disadvantaged as well as a US war veteran. those people recieve extra points. Also, if you have volinteer/work experience, you'll recieve bonus points too. that's the only area that I recieved points from. the TEAS test is required and you must have at least a 70 overall to be considered. you can visit their site and explore more about it. it's really easy to navigate, http://www.csub.edu/nursing/preadmission.shtml

Thanks so much for the help. I am planning to apply to get into fall of next year. I am also planning to take the TEAS test as well. Have you taken it already? If so how was it? I am not sure my gpa is as good as yours but I am still hopeful!

that's the spirit! :smokin:

i took the TEAS for my 1st and last time on May 9th, 2009. I though it was alright because I came right out of high school. But it'd still be great if you studied. anything else you want to ask? feel free.

Oh yes is there any letters of rec for csub I did not see that there. I also did not see the breakdown scale like certain gpa is a certain number of points, and like certain number of volunteer hours is a certain amount of points. Did they send you any nursing packet explaining what to do?

to answer your point break down question, here's the site http://www.csub.edu/nursing/documents/preadmission/entryAndScoreSheet.pdf look over on the 3rd and 4th pages. their nursing site tells you everything and what you need to do. just explore harder than before. :nuke:

If you look under the "apply" tab and select/click on the nursing application, you can download the application for teh spring 2010 class. that's the application packet that i used and send to the nursing school. of course i had to print and hand write everything because you need to send them transcripts and letters of recs. the application packet will tell you what to do.

Alright thanks so much. For the application that says spring 2010 it wont make a difference right because I am planning to apply fall 2010 not spring 2010?

it probably will. they will come out with a new one for the fall because I've been monitoring their site since May and they had Fall 2009 before but changed to spring 2010 now. the spring 2010 was for people who applied before July 7th but you can use that as a reference.

Alright thanks so much for all the help. BTW I forgot to ask are you applying for fall 2010 as well?

well, i applied for the spring 2010, but if i get accepted for the spring 2010 class and they dont start one in the spring due to the budget cuts, then I get moved to begin in the fall 2010. if i don't get accepted to the spring 2010, then i'll apply for the fall 2010 like you as well. i really love their program because it's only 21 months long. that's why I hope i get in fpr spring 2010 because i can graduate college early in less than 4 years.

good luck with you too, you are applying for the fall 2010 right?

p.s. i sent you a mail too ;-)
