Did anyone apply to CSU Bakersfield? I applied for the Spring 2010.
hey solidus do you know how many people applied for the spring session?
yes, 69. but only 65 were eligible.
note that it's not your usual 250+ applicants, that's because this was during the budget cut crisis and all CSUs, including CSUB, had to close applications suddenly. Good thing that I applied a few days before they closed. I learned a very valuble lesson from that all... better be early and stop with the procrastination. That's a big No-No in nursing school.
It was funny too because the nursing school was still accepting applications though CSUB was not accepting applications, so transfer students were unable to apply, though all applications were ended shortly.
I guess I was the lucky one who got in on time! As well as less competition for such a small number of applicants.
But your application pool will have around 250+, and that means more competition. Good luck.
thanks a lot I am glad you made the cut too I am sure a lot of people still wanted to apply but did not know they would close that early. When a friend of mine emailed ***** she told her that their only taking 36 people for the fall of 2010 :[ so assuming that 250+ applied but I am pretty sure more that's very very few people.

Same here for the spring 2010. There were 65 people who were eligible to apply, but only 35-36 were taken.
@ Starness921,
I know you will do just fine in the last three prereqs.
I applied to the following schools: Cal State Northrdige, San Francisco State , Samuel Merritt University ( in the process of applying )
along with a few other CC. I would prefer to get into a program that will give me a BS, but as competitive as the nursing programs are, if I end up at a CC, I will definitely take it. I would work a few years, and then go back for a higher degree.
By the way, I live in the Bay Area.
Thanks for sharing your stats with us. I have been putting off taking the TEAS for the longest time, and I finally got myself to take it. I ended up doing ok. My total score at the moment is a 66. Definitely take the TEAS again. A higher percentage on the exam will definitely give you higher points. Remember you can earn up to 35 points. Also, the interview is worth another 15 points. So don't be discouraged.
I hope we all get in. Did you apply to any other schools?

Wow, that's awesome that you don't have anything to finish this semester. The pressure of getting A's is really going to break me down over the next few months! Like I said, I will have 70 pts if I get A's in the 3 classes I am taking right now...so it could be lower
Plus, with the interview, who knows.
I applied to Csu Channel Islands and Chico. I don't have any work or volunteer experience, which are primary criteria for those schools, so I don't think I'll get in. I just really want this soo bad! It would be nice if we both get in!! My name is Sasha, by the way!
