CSU Bakersfield Fall 2015 Nursing

I haven't seen a CSU Bakersfield thread anywhere for its Fall 2015 program, so I thought I'd make one for anyone that applied there.

I'm in the process of taking Physiology with lab now (under Prof. Stark). 2nd test coming up this week :arghh:

Anyone hoping to get into CSUB?!

My pre-req gpa is 3.84 and my math/science gpa is 3.87. I got an 86 on my teas. When I hand calculate my score I get 78 points, but the gpa calculator they give us says I have 83 so I'm not sure whats going on haha.

Hmm, interesting. I just double checked and the GPA calculator also gave me extra points. So calculating mine by hand, I end up with 82 primary points and 85 total points. How odd...

I also got conditional acceptance! So excited! Also quite unexpected since they said not to expect anything until the end of July! Definitely a great surprise to make my day a bit more eventful.

Is that ATI purchase a one time fee or every year? Because $600 is a lot on top of everything else?

The estimated costs page on the nursing website says that it's a single time fee.

Has anyone else turned in the RSVP yet?

I have. I turned it in yesterday in person and --------------------- sent me a confirmation email saying she received it. She also asked me if I wanna sign up for the CPR class they are offering after the Meet and Greet and I said yes. It costs 40 bucks and the sign up is first come first serve.

Yes, I signed up for the CPR class too. I couldn't pass it up when it's about $75 through Red Cross/other organizations for BLS.

Congratulations to those of you who received your acceptance letter! ! :) I know how exciting it is! You all have an exciting, stressful, challenging and rewarding experience waiting for you! I will be at the Meet and Greet as well as your Orientation. I'll be a Junior in the Fall. Can't wait to meet everyone. Also, the ATI is a one time only purchase. The instructors and administration are well aware of the start up cost for Nursing students. If you have any questions I can try to answer them to the best of my ability!

I turned in my RSVP and also signed up for the CPR course! I have been working on getting the background check/drug test finished. Super excited to meet everyone
