I know it's incredibly early, there's not even a board for Fall 2015 and their applications are due in 2 months, but I can't wait.
Is there anyone else here planning on applying for the Spring 2016 program?
I'm taking Biology 223 and 251 this semester. I'm also taking my TEAS on the 17th so I have time to take it more than once if need be. I figure I'll have 31 or 32 points. Everything except Biology 224 (which I'll be taking during the fall 15 semester) and previous medical experience, since massage therapy doesn't count.
I'm just curious if any of my potential future classmates are here already, reading up on things like I am.
You must attend all three. With 34 points, you should be just fine getting accepted. Acceptance calls happen within a few weeks every year, it all depends on applicants. The best thing to do is get accepted, see when the orientations will be scheduled, then make an appointment as soon as possible if it interferes with your trip.
Good luck.
Hi all,I know this thread is a little old, but I have a few questions for you seasoned veterans
I applied for Fall 2016 with 34 points regular track, so I should be hearing from them soon. Last year they called everyone on April 20th so I'm hoping they call that early this year as well.
Anyway, my question is regarding orientations. I have a "nonrefundable" trip to Thailand planned for May 23-June 1st.
How soon after finding out acceptance was the first orientation? Do you have to attend all 3 orientations, or just pick one? How does that all work? If they happen to schedule it the week I am gone and miss it, does it disqualify me? Or can I make it up?
Thanks for the help!
I found out October of 2015 and we started everything the next month. Maybe it was because the winter break is shorter and you have to make sure to get all your vaccines and gather information required. You cannot miss any orientations. The first orientation is about 6 hours, the second orientation is some administrative stuff and the math test and the third "orientation" is you meeting with your advisor and where you get your clinical ticket. My advisor didn't show up so I had to meet with another lady and it took about 10 minutes.
I was just creeping on this thread. I was just accepted for fall and have a few questions if you have time.
1. When we pick classes is it some form of lottery?
2. Do I need to take the same teacher for lab and clinical?
3. Can you take Nurs 101 lec and labin the same day? And do you know anyone who did well doing so?
4. Do you recommend pharmacology online?
I have a 2 year old daughter and preschool is not cheap. I just moved here from San Diego and don't know anyone who watches kids so I want to do only 3 days a week.
Thanks in advance if you have time to answer my questions :)
congratulations! yes it is a lottery, no you don't have to have same lab and clinical teacher. I think 101 and lab can be same day and yes I recommend pharm online. The classes are bundled in options so you might get stuck in classes you have no choice depends what # you draw for the lottery. Good luck
Hi guys! Not sure if anyone reads this thread still, but does anyone know if they accept courses from University of Phoenix? Or any other online school... It's been very difficult for me to enroll in an on campus A&P course. So I'm thinking about biting the bullet and paying for a course at Phoenix or a community college in New Mexico that offer it online. Thanks!
