I know it's incredibly early, there's not even a board for Fall 2015 and their applications are due in 2 months, but I can't wait.
Is there anyone else here planning on applying for the Spring 2016 program?
I'm taking Biology 223 and 251 this semester. I'm also taking my TEAS on the 17th so I have time to take it more than once if need be. I figure I'll have 31 or 32 points. Everything except Biology 224 (which I'll be taking during the fall 15 semester) and previous medical experience, since massage therapy doesn't count.
I'm just curious if any of my potential future classmates are here already, reading up on things like I am.
Just referencing schedules for you guys.... schedule options are based off of grouped section numbers rather than days. So even tho you may want your "dream" schedule they may or may not have it. There is a bunch of different options so there is definitely a chance you will find what you want. My recommendation is look at the courses for 101 and 125B and find days/times you could do lecture lab and clinical. It is very possible to have lecture and lab on the same day but clinical will be a separate day by itself. Bring those days/times with you and search schedules as fast as you can to find the one you want. You will do a "pick a number" game and that will be the order you get your schedule. Lower the number the better chance to get the days and times you want 😊

Thank you got explaining how they do it. I knew it was some weird way but that is definitely strange.
I'd really like to do both lectures one day, lab the next, a day off, and then clinical. The day off before clinical is really all that's important to me.
I just wanted to stop by and say congratulations to everyone!! I just wanted to add to the information about picking classes. When you get the sheet with all the options make sure you have your first, second, third, and so on choices picked because if you get to the front of the line and you don't know what you want the next person goes. Also if you get a number like I did last semester (100+) make sure you have up to your 10th choice picked since the groups start going fast when you have a high number.
Aside from that I can't wait to meet all of you at your new student orientation! Please think about join our schools SNA. Feel free to join our SNA Facebook and ask any questions you'd like!

Would you recommend taking lecture and lab on the same day (if possible)? I just think about classes like Biol 223 and 224 and having exams on the same day was not always ideal.
Thank you for the schedule info!

So in reality what they have on myCSN is moot, because they pick the class blocks, then we pick from that?

I went to school Tuesday and Thursdays. Tuesday I had 101 lecture and Lab and Pharmacology and Thursday was 101 clinical. I enjoyed the schedule I had because I worked part time on the weekends (3 days) doing graveyard (and I still do).
As far as exams you will rarely get a Pharmacology and 101 exam same week. I think maybe it happens like once the semester. But they were usually a week apart.

Basically. It just gives you an idea on what times and dates are available for what. But you must pick from options and that's what you will register for. Come second semester they email you the options instead of everyone going in and picking like you do for 101.
Word of advice, you cannot miss lab or clinical at all during the semester. And as far as lecture goes, you are allowed to miss lecture as long as it is not an assignment due date or exam/quiz day....so if you know you have certain situations that could prevent you from getting to school certain days, I would make those lecture days.
Wife of the red head with the red beard, although I am not quite so pregnant now. :) Loyd got in! He got his call at 2:15. Our last name starts with a W. He has not stopped smiling since he got the call.
Yay. I am happy to hear that. I had class with him for 223 and 224 over the summer at NSC.
